I recently saw a tv show about natural disasters and during the program there was a recommendation that everyone should always have a small stash of money in cash at home for emergencies. Because if a natural disaster strikes, it will be hard to use ATMs, banks and so on, so it is important to have some cash so you can get by at least for a few days.
I personally do not stash cash at home, but I am thinking of starting... Because I guess you never know!
How about you? Do you stash cash in your house? And if you do, is it for emergencies or other reasons? How much do you have stashed usually?

Hi Puccagirl!.
We had a store at home so we always had cash at home. We usually put it to the bank every week part of the benefit.
I think this climate change make every thing unpredictable so like you said its better to prepare for the worse although its rarely natural disaster happen in my town.

Yes, they really do not happen very often where I live either, so it is not that, but one should still be prepared I guess, because you never know! Tons of weird stuff has started happening in places that used to be considered safe in the past, after all.

I personality do not but my mom does, only a couple hundred ($100-$200)- not a crazy amount though.

Still, it a good habit. I don't think it necessarily needs to be large amounts, the important thing is that you do it.
