We are passing through a hectic life style getting exposed to polluted atmosphere which makes us really sick. But, if you keep yourself (F I T) sick will be afraid to come to you. If not you are easily inviting sick and should meet the doctor to avoid that. Share your valuable thoughts....

i get sick often not because i'm not fit because i was born that way.... i have many illnesses (not fatal ones though), such as allergies, recurrent otitis media (bulging eardrum), insomnia, migraine and proneness to anemia....well the list could go on. all the things i mentioned above are hereditary.

Extremely sorry to hear that - but you may be regularly visiting a doctor for any of the problem. Why don't you pray the real Doctor who has created you. Pray fervently with your heart and the words should contain the true meaning. Prayers are heard and are really benefited many. Try this though heredity problem is there it can be eradicated. Good luck....

Yep that's true..I'm a Catholic and I always pray to God that he heals not just of my physical illnesses but emotional and spiritual too... But I think there is a good purpose for this, why He created me this way... maybe it's too keep me humble, or to keep me from being a workaholic which is bad because that will make me always busy and not have time for the other more important things in life such as family and charity work... God works in mysterious but amazing ways...I trust Him. God bless you ... take care!

Yes,to develop in life we have to bare so many ups and downs in practical life - no other go. Any how keep yourself warm always to avoid external cold and take a cup of tea with black pepper (made into powder)and prepare just like tea with milk. This is good for any cold attacks and also keeps the body warm.Preferably have this in hot just a couple of minutes before you sleep. Try..... life is full of trying only.... it may or may not suit....

That indicates that you have gained more resistance ie.,now you have the capacity to bare anything in the atmosphere. Nice to hear that. There are a few people who are even allergic to dust.Again it also depends upon the heredity too.

I do agree - but you very well know how often you fall sick. Of course, if you are a healthy person - then this question doesn't arise at all. It is just a personal matter. No one is there who does not fall sick in life....

If I'm honest I haven't been sick in years, probably about 10 maybe more. the only other time I have been sick before them 10 or more years is when I was hungover but I don't drink anymore.

You know I cant count on one hand how many times Ive been really sick. I mean so sick Im at the ER. However I have had a few colds or flus that havent been so pleasant. I must admit they are few and far between. I get sicker when I take the flu shot. Im not advocating against it. Im just saying for me I do better without it. I work in the healthcare field. I do home care. We try to keep as clean and germless environment as possible. Its not possible to be entirely germfree but we try. Since Ive been working in homes, I have yet to get sick. This has been five years or so. I think the way to minimize catching colds and flus is simple. Take care of yourself. Eat properly. Whatever you do, dont panic. You dont have to barricade yourself at home or cover all orafices of your body. Just maintain good health practices. A glass of juice here and there. But dont medicate yourself unnecessarily. I find the more we try to avoid it, the more apt we are to catch something. So dont sweat it! Live you life as you would everyday without being sick. Happy, Healthy, MyLotting. dl

Good thoughts . not getting sick clearly indicates that you maintain yourself a good health . Keep it up. I feel lot of the health concerns also depend upon heritability too is my thought. How about you.

Hi, I hate the word of SICK. I easily fall sick after giving birth to my son. The most common sickness is flu. I have been taking more vitamin C to boost my immune system and hope it can helps to prevent me from getting sick again. I was so worried everytime when I fall sick, as I have to takecare of my son and I don't want the virus to spread to my son too.

Thankfully I have been very lucky to not get sick that often. Perhaps it is just me keeping rather healthy by being active and taking the precautions of not getting sick. Or perhaps I have been in the right place at the right time, at all times and thus do not get sick. However, no matter what, I am not complaining with my lack of illness in recent memory. For whatever reason, it is all good that I am not sick. Still, I would have to say that maybe one or two times a year, illness does tend to visit me and it is frustrating to say the least. I just hope that it is not bad enough to permanently ground me and I can at least get some things done. Still if that's not the case, I'm in bed and it seems like a couple days ill puts me back a few weeks. It is strange but it is very true to say the least.

OK - that is fine to know and I feel every human should get sick at least a couple of times in a year to remove the impurities being gathered during the time. That is normal. Glad to know that you maintain precautionary measure to keep yourself healthy. Nice......!

Hello Busybee! The main thing for our sickness is pollution, Stress and mainly our food habits. To avoid going sick we should take steps to prevent it. for example at rainy season fever and cold are common. To avoid them use some tulusi. It may stop flu. you also clean your home regularly with Disinfectan liquid. so that germs may be stopped germs. Be Healthy!! Don't forget to take greens and fruits. Thank you. Happy mylotting

I used to be very easy to get sick when I was a child. At that period of time, I got sick very frequently, about once every four or five months. That was really a terrible thing. After growing up, I have much better immunity now, I don't get sick that often.

Good to hear that. Yes, child hood is very gentle and tender too and you may not have much resistance to bare the external atmosphere as you grow the resistance in you also grows which makes you healthy. Keep fit and does not allow sickness to enter in you.

I haven't been off work sick for over ten years, even though people around me are "dying" with all sorts of illnesses & dis-eases. My work environment is high-stress & very polluted & I probably use & inhale more toxic chemicals & dusts on a daily basis than most of you do while at work, wherever that may be. I've heard that vegans (I've been vegan for over ten years) rarely get sick, but if & when they do, they recover much faster & have less severe symptoms than others with the same illness. It's all too easy to blame other things for one's plight; be it the environment, the employer, the parents, pollution. It is better to take responsibility for our own health & conditions & better ourselves in any & every way available to us.

with pollution and stress nowadays, that really puts us all down. we should learn that despite our very hectic lives, we should have time to rest and be very vigilant with the food that we take.

That is right food also plays an important part in keeping your health well and also rest should be maintained. Some people keep themselves so busy that they get prone to ill health because of their more activities.

Hi busybee, I am 54 and I am hardly ever ever sick. I rarely get colds or flu. If I do they pass through me really quick. I have not missed a days work due to illness in well over 16 years and probably only a handful of times in my entire life. I don't go to the doctors ever except for when I was pregnant and for regular female checkups. I am not a health freak by any stretch. I don't take meds except for on rare occassions and I don't run to the doctors for every little ache and pain. I went to the doctors a few years back when I got Bronchitis. I only go when I know it is serious. He gave me some antibiotics and I was up and running the next day....and did not miss a days work. I really think avoiding doctors and meds as much as possible is the answer.

I don't get sick to often maybe like once or twice a year, but yeah not to much because when ever I feel a throat that feels itchy I always tend to take better care of myself like drinking some hot tea or putting on a scarf when I go to bed anything I can do to stop it from getting any worse.

I am pretty lucky. With the onset of the cold season I typically get a cold or two. Some years I may also catch the flu. Last year I got the dreaded swine flu for example, which was not fun but not as bad as I had feared. But I have never been sich enough to have to go to hospital. A few days of rest, plenty of liquids and in a few days I am fine.
