In the recent years, China economy is in a rapid growing, and it will be the second largest economy in the world right after us. Through many diplomatic action, and influences. China currency, so - call RMB (People's money) has be increasing its value against the U.S. dollars. What it mean to us? We have a perception of China is the biggest manufacturing house in the modern world. Since its currency value is higher, it might be a good advantage for our domestic manufacturers. Because it will be more expensive to purchase goods from China now. In terms of competition in this international marketplace. Nonetheless, we have to bring up our quality of products and treat our customers with value. Although China is one of our great competitor in this marketplace, we still have to make ourselves competitive and increase the value of our production. What do you think?

kingparker, In the first place, I have to say that increasing the value of Renminbi just will not help everyone or countries. For one, it will be increasing the prices of goods for the entire world. Domestically, export businesses will be affected with a confirm drop of orders (demand). People in China will be loosing their jobs and when unemployment rate rises - people will suffer as a country. Now, China has all this while been able to come out impressively with their governance which had brought about very positive average growth on their GDP and yet maintain the lowest fluctuation of standard of living which is so vital for her people. On the hindsight, I am sure you would be aware that China herself could easily sustain on her own simply with their domestic consumption from a population of 13billion - the export is just a bonus. I am sorry but I just feel that the US should not be bossing this country with regards to this issue. Frankly speaking, how much is US producing to supply to China that needs her to afford it? Even now, with the current exchange rate - it is a fact that China is number one customer for US GM, Chevorlet and whatever brands. I wonder, why the bigotry here?

I am not one of "us ".As a Chinese ,i am proud of the development of my motherland.I don't know much about economy .But in my mind ,China's economic development is good for the whole world ,including U.S .It confuses me that Americans regard China's peaceful promotion as a big threat .Although chinese products influnce U.S demestic manufacturers ,we enforce U.S enterprises more competitive ,which is bennificial to both sides.

I think this is good for my country, as we also manufacture products. China has been a very irresponsible country for their low quality products and inferior imitation products. Seriously, if I have a choice, I would not want to use any of them. However, I am in no position to ban them altogether because I would not be able to afford all the expensive ones. What we can do here is to increase our competitiveness to create quality products as well as to start R&D to support any advance changes. Begin with a good system in the factory. Maximize knowledge and establish updated technology to decrease the dependency on manpower. China win because they have cheap laborers and a pool of workers that my country and most countries do not have.
