I personally am a young woman in the same age range as many students preparing for their last year in college/graduating and have had success gaining employment. My main advice is to be yourself, employers are looking for a pleasant attitude, willingness to learn and work with others, and most of all they are looking for someone that will fit in with the company's standards.
Definitely do your research on the company and make a point of showing that you have some prior knowledge of what the job is about and show confidence. If you do not have confidence in yourself and your ability to be a valuable asset to the company then they will not have any either.

I think you need to seem professional, but you also need to be yourself at the same time. Also dress to impress and be confident. You might also want to consider taking a look at common questions that are often asked during interviews, since this will make you feel more prepared and confident.

Power statements are really important. Short and concise answers are also very important. And we need to act successful, and feel successful. One of the things I learned when I attended a workshop for job interviews, is the "i am, "i have" and "i can" statements.
