I am new to article writing or blogging and curious if I can really earn decent amount of money over internet by writing articles. And how much if I can spend 2 hours a day? I am a software programmer in .Net related technologies. Genuine responses appreciated!!

Software programmer ? That is a very good career you have. There can be many clients for that line of service, right ? One can make reasonable income from online writing if a suitable site is found. Some writing sites appear and disappear. I was writing short stories at one site about a month ago. I was very happy with it, writing online and the payments. All of a suddenly, it disappeared. If you are interested, here is a site where you can write brief reviews on a variety of topics, and get paid reasonably. It is "Review Stream". You might want to take a look.

I have a friend who writes articles and other stuff and he was paid according to the agreement set by his business partner. He is a shaddow writer of a successful businessman. He really earned money. And that times 2, because he is also working in our company. I think he found the job thru signing in freelancer.com. You better try it or if you have already your job, go for it. You wouldn't know that's for real unless you give it a try. :)

You can make some good money. If you are writing good articles which are well researched, you could write two per day, and how much you earn really does depend on who buys them. Some people will only pay $1 per article, but others will pay $100 if they think that your article can give their website good press. It's worth having a look around to see if there's anyone you can do a little bit of freelance work for- as it sometimes pays off for certain people to pay others to do the writing for them. That's how I'm earning money at the moment, anyway.
