Working on my craft space

I have mentioned in the past that my front room, a/k/a my craft space has been in total chaos for several years.
We did a rearrangement and just ran out of steam in here.
So, I had this chest in my bedroom and a matching one in the crafts space already...
We took the one from the bedroom out and cleaned it, bought some spray paint, took it outside and sprayed the heck out of it. After a couple of hours, we brought it in and put the other one on top of it, same footprint, twice the storage!
I already have 6 of the 12 cubby holes filled, at least mostly filled. And I have plans for the other 6!
However, I'm currently in PAIN, so I have probably done all the work in here I'm up to this weekend.
So, what have you done around your house this week?

Hi Elic. You sure have been busy lately! My son did that same thing with two chest of drawers he had, both kinda short. He put one on top of the other; same storage space but half the floor space. Awesome idea!
I haven't been doing much of anything this past week. Still mending, although I feel up to everything I've always done.
I went out to pick up a new hard drive with my husband on Friday. His computer eats them (this is his 4th hard drive on a 3-year-old laptop) and I think he's afraid to go anywhere alone these days. He was just told he needs surgery on his lumbar spine which will take place in December. He has the same problem I just got rid of and I think he's secretely afraid he might become paralyzed before he has the surgery so he always wants me to go everywhere with him.
Anyway, while we were out, I mentioned that I never did get my anniversary dinner that he had promised me, so we tried a new restaurant, Texas Steakhouse. (Our anniversary was August 8th... that's how bad he is at things like this.) The restaurant turned out to be awesome! A bit pricey but the food and service were great.
Then, yesterday, my son called to ask if he could come over to visit. This kid never calls! I asked him what was up and, after some prodding, I managed to get him to tell me that he was a bit fried from his new job, issues with his car and his girlfriend. So, he and I went out to dinner yesterday (my treat). It was absolutely awesome going out two nights in a row!
But, around here? Not much. I've been working on some Christmas presents and have just (today) started gearing up to get my new business going while doing only the absolute essential things around here like washing dishes, feeding animals, stuff like that. Hopefully, once I see the surgeon this week, he'll give me the okay to do whatever I did before the surgery. I can't wait for that!!!

Didn't do anything creative around the house over the weekend. Working on a firetruck bank which is not nearly complete. Will be cute when I am done. It has a little pocket in the window so a picture can be inserted. I took plastic stack up containers and filled them with yarn. I can see from the front what's in there since it's open in places. Works extremely well since I had yarn all over the house looking sloppy prior to moving things around. The 6 I keep in the extra bedroom hold tons of yarn and have been beyond handy.

Not sure about already being friends but I thought myLot would send or show me a message if we were. I've not been that active lately except for today. Need batteries for my digital so can't take pics right now. I think somewhere on here I have a photo on how I stacked my yarn.

I haven't really been keeping up on my house chores since I lost my job. It's funny, I have plenty of time now, but I don't have the drive to do them. I used to do Flylady routines and I still plan to do them, but I just haven't felt like it.

I really didn't get anything done around the house this weekend. I guess it will have to wait until next weekend. I need to put together my new cubby hole shelf that will organize ( I hope) the rest of my crafting items so that I will have all my craft projects neatly tucked away in my bedroom which will be really nice and allow me to start decluttering my bedroom. I just haven't had time to put it together since I purchased it. I am hoping to get that off my list next weekend.

I like cubby holes, and I did get up and actually put a basket in an empty one and take all the frames I got a while back and put them into the sides of 4 of the cubbys I had filled up. I've got some more projects still to do, but I really felt bad when I was done putting the frames away, so I think I really am done!

I tried to spade up the garden plot on Friday but wasn't able to finish it. I did slightly over half and had to quit. I was completely exhausted. I came inside, took a bath and went to bed. I felt a little better by evening, but the next day, I was so sore that I could hardly move. I hurt all over. The muscles in my legs still are sore, but I feel that I could finish the job if it had not rained Friday afternoon, Saturday and today. That's all that I've done in or around the house.

Your craft space sounds really good...This weekend I have not done anything different around the house except the usual chores but I plan on cleaning out two wardrobes tomorrow. One is my daughter’s, she has so many clothes cramped in there and a lot of them no longer fit her I’m sure! The other on is the spare room wardrobe which is in a mess because being a spare one everything gets thrown in there. They are both due for a good clean out and tomorrow is the day to do it...I hope...By the way good idea to stop when the pain sets in...

I have been starting to get ready for the cold weather covering the A/C, cleaning the furnace filter etc., and for Christmas. I know it is early, but my friend that comes and helps me won't be able to come for long and I want to get as much done as I can. Besides that I will be having surgery in November and I don't know how I will feel after that.
I haven't started decorating or anything, but I did have her move the decorations from the garage to the cellar.

We had a tag sale and got rid of a lot of junk. What was leftover we donated to the local Goodwill store. It is nice to have more space to work with. Now to find the motivation to get it all together. We are still unpacking and rearranging the new place. Seems we will never get it all done.

Let's see. My sister sent a recliner over that is nearly new, hardly used. Squeezed it in. Got rid of old glider rocker chair, rearranged, got rid of old recliner cats have ruined. Covered new recliner with towels etc. Covered futon with a sheet to keep Tiger from drooling and dribbling it too badly. Pushed furniture around until I am happy with it. Took a box or two to donation. Not much else, really.

Wow, did you do good!
And so much extra space now, good for you. You'd better relax a bit though or you'll be too sore to do any crafts. I'm curious on what kind of crafts you do..are you getting ready to sell for Christmas?
I cleaned my craft room just a couple of days ago but now it's a mess again, haha. I have a million idea's on what I want to do and I really need to get started pretty soon. I have some cards to make and paper pierce, and a bunch of tiny miniatures I want to get started on, some for Halloween and some for Christmas.
Well, you take care now and take it easy for a while.

My craft room is also the computer room. I have a long table and a closet where I store my things. My husband doe not bother my things at all. My problem is the cats. They love to get into the paint (especially my gray/black/ white tabby). I like doing my crafts in here because it is quite in here and I can always turn on CHristmas music without hearing my husband complain.
I am getting the house clean little by little. This weekend I will be getting my yard done as well as cleaning the bathrooms and the laundry room. I will also be making my dough ornamnents tomorrow night as well as bath soaps and bath salts. I want to launch my store by the 1st of October (just in time for Christmas).
