Fishermens Village in Punta Gorda, Florida is killing the Village cats!!!

I worked at Fishermens Village in Punta Gorda for many years, and the cats of the Village were a part of life there. The woman in charge has now decided that the cats need to be slaughtered. Killed, without any discussions with anyone. The employees of the Village have been banned from feeding the cats so that they will more easily walk into the traps. I am disgusted. Long before Fishermens Village was there, the cats occupied the same space when the area was the City Docks. The cats are a part of life. What gives her the right to just decide that they should die? The cats are looked after, see the vet, many have been sterilized, so what gives her the right to just kill them all? Many of them had collars and are virtual pets to owners of businesses in the Village. I am disgusted. IF any of you are on Facebook, could you go to the Fishermens Village, Punta Gorda, page and tell them how horrible this is? I'm not on Facebook and don't know how to use it. Thanks for letting me ramble, I'm writing this through a veil of tears, this is breaking my heart.
