I'm a big fan of the power of the mind. Whatever situation/circumstance you are in, if you take control of your mind, then you are in control of yourself to make it's way through the situation. It's like the whole situation is in your palm.

i've read this book of Secrets before and it talks about "like attracts like". It is about i think mind power. that whatever you think or plays on your mind would attract energy and would materialize. it is true that you can take control of the situation by just thinking that you can and you will. it says in the book that you should be thinking in the positive point of view, example is instead of saying "i don't like this to happen" you should start thinking instead what you would like to happen...

Talk about super positive thinking!!! Are you doing it yourself? Cool! Anyway, even if I wanted to do it I'm very pessimistic... I always tried to do the visualization thing but it always like this... "NO TRAFFIC..." then I visualized smooth flowing highways that I'm going to pass through.... THEN A TRAFFIC SCENE WILL BLINK INTO MY MIND... then I will repeat... "NO TRAFFIC..." visualized the smooth flowing road again.. then there goes the traffic unconsciously appearing again! DO you want to know the outcome? slow moving vehicles on that road... whahahaah! damN! ^.^

Hi niairen! Yes I'm practicing it. It's a challenge coz negative thinking will always come along the way. That's why it's called mind power because you have to fight the negative thoughts with their opposite good thoughts. Not all things are in our control like traffic you said and you feel pissed off but surely you can do something good about the situation to avoid that bad feeling. It's like the situations of those really handicapped people. Many wonder in disbelief why they're able to do the things that a fully physically capable person could do. Because they use their mind and they figured out how to ease their way through their situation. They are examples of the people who exercise the power of their mind. Mind power is not about magic..it's choosing to think the right things.

I do agree with you to some extent blessyme, but I think that as human beings it doesn't always work because there are so many other things to influence us. Unfortunately in stressful situations and circumstances we humans do lose control of our minds and thoughts so we do lose some power, and I think that is inevitable in certain situations..we all have powerful emotions that take over the strong mind at times ;o)
