Who lives in a city apartment?

Just sitting here in rural New Zealand surrounded by green grass and trees I was wondering what it would be like to live above a city in an apartment. Do any of you live say above the 6th or 7th floors in an apartment building? I would be interested in hearing some feedback. Do you feel safe? Is it quiet? How convenient is it for entertaining, for work etc?

i am not living up in the 7th floor or something but i live in the city and i have been here all my life. i got used to the hassle of the city and in fact i would still choose living here even though rural areas seems calm... but i have heard new zealand is a wonderful place!! i have seen pictures of it,some of my friends are living there too.

I do not live in a city apartment... I don't like being in high areas as I am scared of heights.. 6th .. 7th floor is sort of high. I would prefer 2nd or 3rd story.
