i heard news from our local television network about one of our society problem about women who commit abortion and leaving their innocent child in an airplane and also in church. i have no right to judge them, the way they think and for their own reasons behind. what i care is the innocent child they're leaving, sometimes and unfortunately dead. :(

I also watch the news but so far just like you I do not like to judge unless the woman itself mention her reasons. So as for other speculation she do that because she is already married and it would be a shame to the reputation of the family going home pregnant but it is not er own fault after all she just become so depressed or anxious then have not in the right frame of when she left the baby. As part of her miserable experience she just like to escape but now it was discover so she just have to face the consequences of her action. While in term of abortion which intentional that is very sinful but those who have miscarriage it is unintentional. So the former have the most grave sins so the option would be better to opt for adoption rather than abortion.

Neelianoscet, Leaving the baby in the trash is just as intentional as abortion is. If she were just going to let her baby die then abortion would have been a more humane way to do it then to just abandon it in the trash bin.

Yes I know what you mean about feeling much sadness for the child. In my religion, we learn that God is most good and loving so whatever bad things happen to the child, God will do whatever seem fit for the benefit of the child. I always advise my children that even i cannot love them as much as God so may you have comfort in knowing that God will take care of them.

This seems to be happening more and more. But abortion is actually done before the child is born. It is the act of getting rid of the child during the pregnancy. Leaving the children behind is also happening, whether it be right after birth or even months later. I know there are so many people willing to adopt these newborn children so I don't understand people doing such things. It's not my place to judge them but rather I should pray for them.

It takes two to tango. However in this case it's more often the women who take the blame for everything. I don't like what the mother did to her baby but i never heard anyone blaming the father of that poor child. If there's anyone who is equally guilty and is to blame, it's the father himself. The woman couldn't have done what she did if circumstances are better. There are bad mothers in this world, but i consider them more of the exception than the rule. Mothers always have the instinct to protect their young. I don't judge the woman for what she did because she could be a victim herself. She needs support, the fact the she left her child means that she already suffered enough and don't want to suffer more. It's just so sad that innocent children have to suffer because of the fault of their parents.

Those are heartless human beings. Selfish mothers who's willing to take away the only chance that their baby had. Only god have the right to take away someone's life.

They committed an abortion, after getting pregnant, then they did not make love after all...

How do you figure that?

Abortion and infant abandonment are not the same thing at all. Abortion terminates a pregnancy. Giving birth to a child and leaving it somewhere to die is not even close to the same thing. Not everyone is ready, willing or able to have or raise children. Just because someone is a fertile adult does not mean they are obligated to have or raise children. It's a woman's choice to get an abortion or not and there is nothing wrong with that at all. And in my country we have an institution called "The Moses Act" where people who have a baby they cannot take care of can leave it at a fire house, hospital or sometimes a church with no questions asked.

I think that a teenage mother might be frightened when her baby son or daughter is born. She might not be thinking clearly and leave her baby on the steps of a church. Leaving an innocent child on a plane is very strange. I heard that a baby was found in the ladies restroom in a restaurant. I think the police tried to find out who the mother was. They ended up getting the baby fostered. I think that abandoning a child is mean and nasty. I feel sorry for babies that are aborted because they don't get the chance to live. They become the missing people of the world.

Hi Nereidiane, I heard about that too. I don't understand how a woman can bear a child and go through the entire pregnancy and then just abandon that child. It is beyond my thinking. I have four children and they were not all born in the best of times but as you carry them, you feel them kick and move in your belly. You grow to love them over the months. In the beginning if it is an unplanned pregnancy, I do understand the panic and worry. I even understand why a woman would possibly contemplate abortion as an answer. But to decide to carry that baby to term only to discard it??? I just haven't heard an excuse that makes any sense to me.

I am a mother at the age of 23. there were times that I felt so scared having a baby because I don't know how to become a mother yet.But , it never occurred to me to get an abortion. I just don't have the guts nor the stomach to do it. Every time I see a news like this it torn my heart apart. I couldn't help feeling so sensitive about it especially for the babies. They are so helpless and faultless to suffer the consequence their parents had done. I will never understand mothers who are into abortion or abandoning their newly born children. There's always hope and a better way to solve their problem but not at the expense of these little angels. As I am typing this, I am holding my 6 months old baby and while looking at her sleeping in my arms peacefully, my heart is overwhelming of so much love for her.I will never last a day not being with her.:)

Yes, of course we don't have the right to judge them... But come to think of it... If you're in a position of that woman who she leaves her innocent child in an airplane, I don't know if you are capable to think rationally... Thinking of what happened in a foreign country, the pressure or stress she feels at that time... She don't know or confused of how to handle the situation...

I also heard that news and i was not shocked because i usually read and watch Crime investigation. Its a crime when you left the child because he/she has no ability to depend himself.but take into consideration that we can never judge the person based on what they did.The best thing to do i think is to prayed for the child's future that he may find the right arms that will embrace and will shower love and affection for them.

They dont care about the child they have given birth or brought on earth, but they care about themselves that what others will think.Like becoming pregant before marriage etc. We cannot blame them wholely but they should have taken the precaution at the right time.

In many states in America parents can drop their newborn baby off at a hospital and they won't be charged with abandonment. Still I read stories every year about parents throwing their baby into a garbage container or leaving them in the cold. I just don't understand how any parent could do that to their flesh and blood.

The behavior is either illegal and immoral in my country. It's every parent's obligation to raise a child. If parents are not capable to do that, they should give it over to the government or orphanage. The chilren are so innocent that they should be protected by society.
