someone using my IP address?

Got a problem with one of PPC sites I joined, NEOBUX. I registered 2 days ago but up to now, I can't view ads because someone using my IP address. I don't know who and how come? Is there anyway to solve my problem? thanks for help.

Hmmm interesting predicament,well there is a way to track the location of the person who is actually using your IP but first things first you must call your ISP provider and tell them that someone hacked and is using your IP address because your IP can fall into wrong hands and be used for antisocial activities. Second If you wanna know out of curiosity who the person is ,then you can packet sniffer softwares like WIRESHARK to capture packets and detect the culprit but to be honest contact your ISP first.

hmmm..... ok armie first thing you do just check out your ip address (by visiting site www.who.is on this site below the search it will show your ip address note it down) ... then check your ip address on computer note it down (at this point dose ip address differs ?).... ok then restart computer check the ip again? ..... ........ .......... plz give details what you find thanks, nikhil

thanks nikhil but it's still the same. different IP from who.is and from my computer. maybe, i should neglect neobux then because only PPC site I got a problem.

if the ip differs from who.is and computer it shows that there is a router between you and service provider may be service provider had installed it. and unluckily other user has register through this .... thats why it is not taking your ip address ...... neobux server treat you as a multiple user on same ip. you could ask service provider to give you a static ip. this can solve problem.

Hello armie23 , I suggest you to contact your ISP provider and tell him about the problem,you must take it seriously otherwise some one will use it against any thing you must answer to that,almost all site you visited can trice your ip. Have a nice day

you can contact your ISP provided so that your problem will be solved. your computer must have been attacked with some spyware so try to look for that too. do you have anti-virus and spyware?

It's because your Internet provider is using proxy. I have the same problem with you. Support from neobux told me that I need to contact my internet provider to ask for a special IP address for my comp only. Or else change my Internet provider. If not they will close my account.

Your computer must of been left vunerable without any anti virus software. Or I would suggest using an IP changer which will change your IP on a regular basis. Which is what someone has done too you, If still worried then contact your ISP.
