What is the best anti virus?

Can anyone tell me their experiences with current anti viruses please.
I have been using Kaspersky 2010 for a while and I am quite disappointed with it, Kaspersky in the past did not seem to upset other programs. Kaspersky 2010 seems to have a few issues.
I have had it flash to me that I have issues, but not been able to resolve the issues, then reading in forums it is a standard false message.
Norton in the past took so many system resources, I had to remove it.
Please let me know what you think is best

I wonder if nobody ever tried Antivir Personal Edition (Avira). Tha's the best, and it's free!
I also recommend you search for an Indonesian free antivirus called PC Media Antivirus (PCMAV) to protect your computer from Indonesian viruses, because they can dangerously damage your system!

I have used Avira and have faced the consequences for it ,I had a major trojan thanks to avira's update which downloaded virus during its update process.Avira Antivir also asks you to disable your windows defender..I mean why should I? its my backup defence.

MSE - Microsoft security essentials from what I have read in forums seems to have a good detection rate. But I have always stuck with Avast...

Well I am currently using Norton 2010 bought it a week ago and its working great ..it NOMS all viruses..NOM NOM NOM..yummy!

I have been using avg pro AND malwarebytes pro for a long time now. I know it is not the BEST anti virus and anti malware out there, but it never gave me any problems. Plus it is easy to 'acquire'.

Now adays i am using avast antivirus, its running good but i dont have idea in future will keep its good quality, becuase some antivirus are diable to some viruses.

According to me the most beautiful of the G-Data Total Security, a security program is really good. The most important feature of the twin-engine has a system, this system is well-known security firms are using the engine.
Currently using the notebook version of the system is really glad to have an advantage alone may mean.
