Do you usually buy sweets for your kid? Or do you try and get them something healthy?

I am trying to teach my daughter that healthy is better, but that you can indulge once in a while. We do not have desert every night in our house hold. If she is still hungry or wants a snack after dinner, I usually give here cut up apples, sometimes I will sprinkle some cinnamon on it. Yesterday, while her grandparents were visiting for the day, we went out for icecream, but again, it is about moderation. I only got one scoop, and I shared it with her.

I am always buying something sweet for my children to eat. It may not be the healthy choice, but it is a happy one. I try not to go overboard with aweet snacks. Still, I buy my children what they enjoy.

Hi there simesc, My answer to your question would be No. I don't usually buy sweets for my kid because I am avoiding it for her. Sweets aren't healthy and it would only damage her teeth, and also her health.. But I do buy her some but it's very rare that I do that.. What I usually give her are better snacks.. Not junkfoods.. And, when I can't find anything to buy for her, I just buy her some school supplies which she would also like.. What is important for me is that she eats real and healthy foods everyday, so buying her sweets isn't number one on my list..I think it could be the last on the list..
