Hello Lotters, One of the worst situations ever.probably the first time. I was on my way home after paying credit card bills this morning. it was a bit raining so i couldn't leave right away and had to come back to the market and bought myself an umbrella. On my way to the road i heard Meowing on the sidewalk. I saw another small cat again, i look at it, it's not that thin but am sure he was very hungry. of course, my heart just went soft again, so i took it. unfortunately, as i try to hold and remove his dirt, IT PEED ON ME. it was a bulls eye on my left eye. i let it go and i rushed into a nearest Fast food chain for a wash room. I was my eye more than twice. then, later this night i bought some eye droppings. am afraid. I've heard cats/dogs pee carries one of the deadliest virus. oh, men i don't have money for this kind of check ups. Sorry friends, i can't take this risk again. i should stop adopting kittens.

Oh boy lol. I've never got pee in my eye ever haha. I am very thankful for that. Did it make your eye really hurt? I hope its better now after 23 hours of when you wrote this discussion. Animals are so weird sometimes. When I was young and living with my parents my mothers dog had to go to the bathroom and I didnt understand. She came over and lifted her leg and peed on me. I was so disgusted. I felt bad after though that she couldnt hold it in anymore and had on me to let me know that she had to go to the bathroom.

Oh you better go for a more thorough checkup coz the animals' pees are not that erm... good. I pity for what you've got through and that cat maybe couldn't hold his bladder or what. Maybe he finds it fun yea, you know what animals are like. It's a kitten so, yea.

Oh that cat is rude? maybe he or she is a kitten though, and he or she was nervous because someone is carrying him or her, she or he was scared that is why the cat peed on you. however, if that is the reason for you to stop adopting kittens then for me that is unreasonable. That kittens is not aware of what is they are doing or what harm they bring on you. They all know is to eat food and play and sleep and do their thing. They will just change their attitude when they became your pet. I have been to a lot of trouble because of adopting cat. I even stop a busy street with full of vehicles just to help a small kitten crossing the road and she cannot move because she was so scared of the big wheels and the noise the vehicles bring. Although many people "boo" me for doing that because it caused traffic , I am still proud that I save this little angel and that does not stop me from adopting them. Maybe that is my purpose and I will continue what is my purpose is.

hi letran let me assure you you will not probably have any problems with your eyes, the reason being I was about sixteen when this happened and I was helping by gathering the eggs. we had one cat who has skunk like marking on him and he loved to sleep in the hens nests. well it was getting dark so I see this striped cat and I yank him out by his tail oh my God it was a skunk oh my I could barely see as I got his stinking skunk oil in my right eye and I was screaming as I walked and my dad got me to the house and my mom washed my burning stinging eyes out with a ton of water, and the burning stopped at once.I also was afraid it would impair my sight but it did not. oh it was funny telling this later b ut when it happened it was just damned scary too.I am so sorry you got it in your eye too. but just to be safe borrow money aNd go see your doctor to be checked justt to be safe.

Oh dear LetranKnight! I have been around cats since childhood and although I have been peed upon in the past I can’t ever recall taking one in the eye! I doubt very much that you will have any problems from this experience especially because you’ve washed your eye and put eye drops in it. Having said that of course if you have problems go to a doctor but I would think you will be okay. I would not stop helping kittens if I was you; it was not this kitten’s fault that he peed on you, he was probably very scared…What you do for these cats is a really good thing, so please don’t stop helping them!

hello Letran, Oh,wow...better go to the doctor and asks their opinion about it and have your eyes check. I hope it won't get worst then. Well,at least you learned some lesson. "never hold kitten/cat up on eye level "

What did i tell you about these kittens, sweetie? Wash your eye with some milk. If it feels funny or funky tomorrow morning, go see a doctor, okay. As you said, it didn't look thin and hungry, so i am sure there won't be any problems. But, we would rather want to be safe than sorry. TATA.

If you start having burning in your eye make sure to get it checked. Cat urine contains high levels of ammonia which can cause allergic reactions or burning sensations. I would definitely use the eye drops just to be on the safe side. The kitten was probably scared from being picked up. If it hadn't been around people much it would not know what to do when someone picked it up and could have been frightened from being in the air.
