Why do we live?

For me the reason of why do we live is that first to serve God, they created us for a reason, to enjoy life and contribute to continue the generations ahead.

It is true that this kind of question can be only be answered from the religous point of view as it gives meaning to why we live. Science and philoshopy tried to define life, but do not give answers to why we live, may be only to say we live to procreate to keep the human spcies alive, but again this is also a religious view too. I believe we live because it is not our wish or desire to live because we do not bring ourselves into exsistence, but by someone one spreme and thus we created and given life to live to declare that goodness of God. We live to reflect that God. As a Chrstian, I live to reflect God almight in my actions to others that God is God of love, grace and mercy and we have live in service to him.

Hi pogi, yes its true and there is definitely some odd purpose out there due to which we live or take birth one after the other its a never ending cycle, as it is also true for we all human being that we cannot keep our selves away or without any desire,we are slave to our own never ending greed or desire which may vary from person to person but still we are addicted, and hence its a vicious circle. Hence its depends upon us how we take the present life and how does we handle it, which results into our birth so on and so fourth. Happy mylotting.
