Teenagers nowadays

I agree that teenagers have changed a lot. I work with troubled teens in a juvenile detention facility. It is sad the things that these kids are getting involved with from heavy drinking to prescription pills. I understand that kids are going to experiment which is completely normal most parents will admit to experimenting during their teenage years but it has gotten out of control. Much of the problem has to fall back on parents though. Lack of discipline and lack of spending time with their kids. I would have never been able to stay out the hours that these kids are and my parents always kept me busy with band, sports, rotc, etc. They never gave me the time to get bored. When kids get bored they get into trouble. It is good to see a teen that recognizes these problems. You should excel being that you have your head on straight.
