Well this came to me their is people that feel that they have nothing to live for so i was wondering if anybody on mylot feels like that or if you know someone that does. I actually find it really sad when I hear that because I pretty sure that everybody has to have something. What do you all think about this????

hi anime, the thing is that yes most people do have 'something' to live for but if you are in that frame of mind and generally feeling low and depressed it often feels like those things that you do have are just not enough, that's if you even think of them at all. Sometimes , for whatever reason, life just becomes too much to bear and people do feel that they have nothing to live for and someone else telling them that they are selfish and do have something to live for is not always a good thing..we need to really listen to people who feel like this and try and understand as best we can. A big cuddle may help :o)

I absolutely have plenty to live for in life. Although life itself has made it quite difficult for me to be joyous and or look forward to much.
My life has drastically spiraled to the point where circumstances make it too difficult to pretend. I know many in my surroundings as well as here on myLot that have had it pretty tough that this question can easily be answered as a NO.
But my prayers and faith, keep me wishing and hoping.

Hello Anime, I experienced this a lot when I was younger.
I lost my mother when I was 12, but I didn't realize the loss in my life until I grew up a bit. You know, teenage years are really though for some of us, and I really thought I couldn't take it anymore, I wanted to die. I thought that I had nothing to live for, so it wouldn't be much damage to give up on life, since I really was convinced that no one would have been sad for me. I was wrong, of course, and I strongly believe that everyone in that situation is wrong.
When you think that you have nothing more to live for, you often aren't lucid enough to see things right, you can't see what the reality looks like and you easily get convinced by your own depressed mood. Of course everybody has to have something to live for, but when a person feels really lonely and useless, maybe he or she can't see clearly what is that something.
The best solution is to have someone who will point you out the good things in your life, to make you regain the will to live.
