Wash your hand BEFORE going potty?

I was listening to the radio last week and the DJ's were talking about washing your hands when you go to the bathroom. The main DJ was saying he washes his hands BEFORE he goes because he doesn't want to touch "it" with dirty hands! When asked if he washes after the answer was yes. The other DJ's said they wash only after. So it brought me to this question ... Do you wash your hands: Before After or Before and After and WHY? Also will you change your outlook now and wash before too if your only an after person? I laughed the whole time listening becuase they were well a little more graphic about it then I am. So my answer is I wash after.
