On myLot I sometimes see people saying that myLot is great for earning money, and I am completely open and positive to this idea, but they never tell you how they make most of their money and how much money they actually make. Usually the people who say these things are people with atleast 500 posts. If anyone with good knowledge of this site, or a lot of posts can provide some help and information, that would be great :) First off, how much money have you made so far, and what has most of it consisted of (creating discussions, replying to discussions, searching, etc)? Also, if anyone could provide a rough estimate of how much money certain things pay, for example, for every discussion created you get about $0.03, and for every discussion replied to maybe you get $0.01, or whatever you think it may be, that would be great too :) I would just like to mainly find out how much money I can make with this, and if it is truly worth using myLot to make money, or perhaps something else, such as Squidoo. The main difference between this site and some others are that with this site you have to actively use the site, and I don't think you can simply create a discussion and earn money over time with it, unless you make many replies. With other sites, you can simply create a page or article and earn money everytime somebody visits it, rather than having to post and be active a lot. If any experienced users here can provide a basic overview, that would be great :) Thanks, and also feel free to discuss, or let others know if you want to know the same answers too.

The more time and effort you can devote to posting and responding to postings, the more earnings you will make, of course. Further more, if you can complete the tasks available, that will add to the earnings. Besides earning, myLot is an excellent place to meet and make friends with wonderful people from countries around the world. It is a community of people helping one another.

Oh, I forgot about the tasks. Are they new everyday or is there another way the system works? Also yeah myLot seems to have a great community, this is almost like a forum :)

I make the most of my money by responding to messages I have been paid 3 times with mylot so far. I think the total is somewhere close to $40. I simply respond to anything that I have any knowledge of that has been started. I then will copy and paste links, not to referral sites, to help my earnings. However, you can only do that once you have 500 posts. Posting images also greatly increases your earnings. If you like to write I have an awesome site that once you post your articles you will continue to earn them well after they have been published on the site. I am still earning on a link I posted last year. Several good articles can continue to earn you for a long time.

Nice, when you say you would copy a paste links that were not referral links, how does that affect your earnings? Do you get more money for posting links?

The best thing I can tell you is to be active and participate in discussions, whether you start some, respond or comment to others. Also, your posts should have substance and be descriptive and be of a good quality. Another thing is that if you want to earn for your discussions you start, then it is in your best interest to post comments back to the responses you receive, as you are only paid for your own activity and not the activity of others. There are some that will start discussions, and then just leave them, and then they wonder why they don't earn. Now, I will have to admit that when I first joined mylot, it was just for the money, but since being here, it is much more than that, as I have realized that earning in here isn't as important as learning and sharing. I have learned so much and it far surpasses any earnings that I have received or will receive from now on. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Thanks, yeah I'm taking your advice now and replying to lots of posts. I hope to learn a lot too and make some money at the same time. The main reason I'm here is to still earn, and that is what makes me perhaps try other sites out and forget about this one. Hopefully I'll keep using this one and make some good money with it, but if not I'll probably still be trying to make money on other sites.
