Do you watch movies because of the character or because of the story?

If the story line is good and has good actors or actresses in the movie then i'll watch it. But i'll even give a new movie a chance if a well known actor isn't in the movie and the movie seems interesting. I'm a movie freak. I enjoy movies

i guess im guilty here too haha. most of the time i get disappointed because i have the habit of finding movies with the more known actors as the lead of the movie. only to find out after watching the movie that it was all a waste of time. while there are also those that have very good story, i still don't feel interested in them because (yeah you're right) the male character isn't handsome. too shallow, i know.hehe

I think, both, character of the person, for example of Rambo, of his muscles and his heroic deeds that matches his body. On the other, a movie based on true, is always a favourite because it has the passion, the plot to hold my attention and I follow this kind of movies. I hate scientific fictions lile star wars and star trek etc. They do not reflect real life.

I honestly like it when the male character is handsome but I do not seem to pick movies based on that. I am usually pleasantly surprised though, when a nice looking man pops on the screen. I pick movies more for the title really. If a title grabs me, I will watch it. Seldom does it matter who is playing in the film.

I go for the story first by looking at movie reviews. Usually, movies played by big stars whether good-lookers or not are blockbusters and almost always have pretty good and interesting storyline but how many actors & actresses are not pleasant to the eyes anyways! Half the times there can be all these gorgeous people in the movies but if the story sucks, we certainly feel like we were just robbed and wasted our time watching the movie.

Haha, you're so funny! You're like my friend Nastya, that she only watches movies if the main character is attractive. Personally, I watch them for the story. There has to be a gripping and compelling plotline or else my mind will wander and I'll miss the entire movie. Also, I normally watch movies with my favourite actor/actress in them because I am biased ;)
