We used to have a piano at home but I think it was way too old to the extent that it was broken. My brother used to have piano lesson with the use of that old piano. Unlike in my case I was using the organ when I am having the piano session.
I wish to have piano at home just like what you can see the image below. I don't like organ because at least the piano is clear and the sound is really different.
What about you? Do you have your own piano?

I used to have a upright piano but sold out since my family had some financial problem back then. I had my piano lesson until grade 5 at that time. Recently i managed to buy a clavinova which is cheaper compared to a real piano. The advantage of a clavinova is that u don't need to tune it, unlike a real piano. The disadvantage is it uses electricity.

That is what I don't like. Of course for me technology nowadays has many advantages and I really like everything about it but not in terms of having a piano. At that point I still want the traditional piano wherein I can manually tune in no matter how hard it is. In our home we have our piano before that is made of IVORY but it was really damaged for being too much old. Good thing my brother overused that piano before it was gone.

I've always had a piano in the house. The first one was a beautiful upright with elaborate carvings all over its surface. My mother got it at Werlein's, a music store in New Orleans (which was a competitor of my family's old music store back in the day). I hated to part with it as it was so beautiful, but it was out of tune, and one of the keys was dysfunctional. It was very old as well, so my mother decided to replace it. We looked at a number of pianos at different places, but ultimately decided on a Clavinova. We still have the Clavinova, and it's pretty neat (although I wish she'd gotten a fancier one!), but I still miss the natural sound of a real piano, and also the fact that you can play a real piano when the electricity goes off - something you can't do with these electric devices (not that we experience many power outages!)

What is Clavinova? I remember before when the brownout strikes here when I was 8 years old my brother used to play piano all the time. And yet I realize that I really like the real piano which is far better than the others which has electricity.

Oh I think you must need practice so that you can still play the piano.

yes, we have a piano at home. it is a Yamaha, we bought it back in 1994. It still is working pretty fine. Just last week, we had the keys tuned up so that it can work better. Some keys are out of tune so we had to rush for a repair.
The musician who repaired it said that it's a superb piano. We bought it for 70K back then and he said it can be sold for 250K now. wow, but of course we would not sell it for it's authentic and it leaves a lot of memory in our home.

Yes, I have a piano at home. We bought it a few months ago. Since my son has learned playing the piano in the kindergarten. And after he graduated from the kindergarten, we bought him a piano so that he can keep on learning it. Although I don't expect him to be a musician, but music should be good for children. I don't want he doesn't know music and it is better for him to learn to play a musical instrument.
I love China

So what kind of Piano do you have? How big it is?
If I am rich then I would really love to have it but not the organ. I really like to learn the music from Yanni especially when he is playing nostalgia.
