That is one question I dread from the children. I have run out of ideas. 7 days a week trying to add to the usual spaghetti bolognese, sausage and mash, fish fingers and chips menu is so challenging. What do others think? I try to add at least one different meal a week, but then I have three boys and they have different tastes. I have found before now I have made 3 different meals to suit everyone. Now I say if you don't like what's served up, make yourself beans on toast. Help!!!

That happens to me too. My 2 kids have different likes so it is always hard to please them all. I used a Macaroni Grill kit last night and made the chicken Marsala. My daughter and I loved it but my son didn't. Oh well, next time I can give him the chicken without the sauce so everyone is happy. I tell them that my kitchen is not a restaurant. lol.

Hi. emmma27865. This has happened to me too. I run out of ideas constantly when I have to cook for my kids too. Today we are having pizza for dinner. I always try to have something different when I cook. Maybe you can try cooking rice and adding different types of meat to it. This could be something different.

I too struggle to add new meals into our daily routine. I find myself falling back on the same old favourites like cottage pie, chill con carne, curry, something with chips etc etc. I have used the internet to find inspiration some times, some websites are very good as you can put your main ingredients in i.e chicken and potatoes and it will generate a few recipes. I grow my own veg and over the last few weeks I have had lots of fresh chillies coming off so I have tried to do a different meal with chilli in it everyday for a week. My week went like this: BBQ Pork with potato and chilli rostis, chicken satay with chilli friedn rice, spaghetti and spicy meatballs, chilli con carne, chicken madras with chilli naan, and pork with sweet chilli sauce. I go through phases of having a whole range of new meals then I seem to fall back into the usual routine. I do not have children so I think its a lot easier for me to experiment.

Mmmnn, wish I could come to your house for my dinners : ) The children are just beginning to get used to mildly spicy things, but I love hot hot hot!
