When Do You Give Up On PTCs?

So I'm wondering, fellow mylotters, when do you just cut your losses and give up on a PTC? After you sign up, do you check what their payout fees are (some don't tell you before you sign up) and do you cut it right then if there is a fee? Do you cut the PTCs that aren't making you as much money? What if you've already invested in upgrades or renting referrals, or if you have a direct referral or two? Just wondering how you know it's time to ditch a PTC and replace it with a better one.
