Would you open your door or just leave it shut?

You all may know how my downstairs neighbor is just trying to ruin us. Well, when he comes to my door, I don't open it up. My husband and I have opened the door for him about, three times before in the past. After that, we don't open up the door anymore. He has came to our door knocking about 6 or 7 different times since he has been living out here. I don't open up my door to him at all. When he has hit his ceiling very hard, he then will walk upstairs and knock on our front door. I never answer it. If he is mad downstairs, there is no telling how furious he may be when he comes to our front door. But yet when he comes he has a nice attitude. But didn't he just now bumped his ceiling with a nasty attitude? I don't just answer my door for him when he knocks. He has to understand why. Does he think that I am crazy enough to just open up my door when he knocks? I don't think so! Is he smoking something strong or what? These days we all have to be careful! What may seem harmless is not always harmless! Even if a baby is being held in his arms as he is knocking at my door!

That sounds very scary! Even though he seems safe enough from past experience, it is better to be on your guard, you never know what will trigger him to turn violent. What did he want from you by knocking on your door? To borrow salt and pepper?

I'll certainly not open the door had I been put under those situations before. When we can presume the reason of arrival, you must not encourage him to stone pelting (words sometimes strike harder than stone pelting!). Thankfully, you have kept complete control. May God bless you.

hi cream knowing what you do about this neighbor from hell I
know if it were me, I wou ld not open my door either. In
fact I would sometimes just call the police. also why not
get a restraining order on the idiot?thats a good idea
as he is continually harassing you. It would be a valid
order as he makes a point of going at you all the time.
You have your children to think of cream.

hi cream!
why he did that??do you ever know why he knock in your door after hit his ceiling??since you have opened the door for him in the past i am curious to know.did he asked something from you??but your solution is correct then. if it was me,then i will take the same precaution.but we should know what happen first then take the solution.if he really a bad guy then leave him alone and take care of yourself and your family.

I wouldn't open it either. Who knows how angry he is. I don't open the door up for anyone unless I expect them or they are someone I recognize & my house is decent otherwise forget it!

It could be that he is just stressed but there is something dangerous in someone who will bang on the ceiling one minute and then be calm the next. I am not saying that people don't do this and are just "acting nice" but well you just don't know if he'll blow up or not. I would talk to the apartment manager about the guy banging on the ceiling! I mean sure it might mean you're being too loud, but obviously I don't think you are.

Perhaps he is paranoid from smoking too much of something. Didn't you say you were moving soon? I think that is the best bet. He needs to get a job or do something with his time besides bug you folks. I really wish his girlfriend would put her foot down. I feel sorry for her.

your neighbor is rude!
if i would be in your shoe,i would not also open my door to him.he's too bad,i can say. is he like addict or something? or maybe there's a reason why he keeps n doing that? are you too noisy for him that's why he gets irritated and knocks his ceiling off? there's gotta be a reason why he keeps on doing that.
or he is just having fun while disturbing you,is that?
