Do animals have souls?

When God created Adam the author of the book of genesis says, "He had breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living soul". What God had breathed into Adam's nostril was his very essence, the Spirit. Only God is the pure spirit. What we have in us is his spirit in a type of impure form. We live, struggle and suffer because it is a kind of process that cleanses our soul. Animals do not have a soul. What they have in them too is a sort of spirit in the most impure form. It is so impure that we cannot call it a soul but it is called anima. While we were in semblance of other creatures of the animal world we too had anima in us. After God had raised our level from animal to that of man the anima had turned into a soul. With advent of Jesus Christ God had raised our level again to that of human. It is a kind of process to change our soul into spirit. Therefore, Jesus said he would come again. We will change in a twinkling of an eye into spirit only after we could conjoin with Christ as consecrated elements of his body.

Greetings! When I was a kid I also asked my mom and dad if animals do have souls but they answered me they don't have.I've also heard this from a radio station. Hahaha. They don't have but I don't know. That's just what I believe.

I'd like to believe they do but I don't think so. I guess it depends on how you define soul. If soul is something related to spirituality and religion, then I'd say they don't have one since they do not have and cannot have a religion. But if soul is to be taken as the essence of a living being, then I do think that all animals have souls.

Yes. I certainly believe that animals have souls. I believe that our personality comes from our souls and as someone who has spent a great deal of time with different types of animals, I can tell you, they most certainly have personalities.

Yes I like to think everything has a soul. But thats my opinion, I don't actually know the facts being it really.
