I am hoping, wishing and dreaming to have my own business someday. I have read in a business magazine that the best way to start a new business is to start it. Indeed, wishing and hoping and dreaming won't let anything happen but when you have the guts to start your business then you will really own a business. But I have many things in mind, I don't know exactly what kind of business would I start.
I'm thinking of a photography/photo printing and editing business since i am very much interested in photography. I also am thinking of a food processing / food preservation business. I think a feasibility study would also reveal success in a franchising business. Hayyy, there are so many choices, sometimes, it gets confusing. Plus I also have to consider my budget..
How about you fellow mylotters? Are you interested in owning a business? If yes, I hope you don't mind sharing what business do you have in mind..

Hello Livvy,
I used to conduct a feasibility studies about computer shop business because it's my last project in my course. but few years later, computer shops started spouting everywhere. so, my plan to start that kind of business was put to cancel.
besides, it takes a great deal of money and planning to make it work. not to mention surveys should also be conducted. the purpose of it is to ensure that the area is demanding for such business and no or not much competition in sight.
Learn what is the Niche but also search what is the demand in the area where you want to start business.

Hi LetranKnight! Yes indeed, starting a business should also entail so much planning and feasibility study. Computer shops here in our area also have been coming out but thriving coz of so much competition. I never thought of it because the business seem to demand a big capital and technical/computer skills too. Anyway, you are right, we have to see what is in demand and where would be the niche of your business. Thanks.

yeah same here. ideally i want a grocery store...but that'll require a big budget so i'll probably start something else smaller.... i think food business is easy, but it probably won't get me that far that fast... i don't know, i have no background in business making, but i have worked in the marketing dept. of several companies now so i have experience in sales...but that's very much different from starting the business itself..... well good luck to your business ventures! hope you can make all your plans happen! good luck.

Hi kquiming! I would have to say good luck to both of us and to all the aspiring entrepreneurs! Yeah, i really do hope i could pursue my plans of starting a new business. I would just start small and make it bigger as time goes by! I have so much more to learn and I think i have to research and study more. It is good for you and an advantage because you already have experience in the marketing aspect. You can use your experience in your own business someday! Thanks for your post.

I would really love to have my own business someday. If I would have the money to start up a business, my business would have something to do with the food inustry. I might put up a restaurant or be a supplier of a certain food product or commodity. Food is necessary in life, meaning, businesses in this particular area have larger target markets than in any other business ventures.

When I can start my own busines, I will try my best to be success with the businees my choice. I love to buy and sell things, but now, I cannot start my own business beacuse of many reasons. In the near future, I wish I can it come true, becomeing my own business is my target in next 5 years. I like to buy and sell my product, so Internet is the great way for me to communicate and contact with my customers.
You give me a chance to discuss what I really like and love to do in my near future.

I realy do dream of having my own shop, my own business, to be my own boss. I would wish on opening a cafe or a resturant. And i too always was interested in photography so i do encourage you to do that, and it's something that is always needed. You must be creative though, to stand out from others.

I have talked about my dream here often and everybody here is probably sick of hearing about my hope (LOL): to open a hotel for cats, a cattery where owners can leave their beloved kitties when they go away. There are several very successful ones in my city and it is a business I could be very happy in! I wish you all the luck with your endeavours; hope your dreams come true!

There are many photographers but indeed it is still in demand though very much competitive. You must have a good portfolio. You can have wedding photography then exhibit that in expo.
If I am only rich then I would franchise Jollibee, Mc.Donalds or Starbucks even Yellow Cab. Because at least I know that here in the Philippines even in Manila they are in demand.

I have thought about opening a bakery/sweet shop. I love baking and cooking for people so it is something that could work out well.. If you are passionate about something you should shoot to do it

sound really great however accoridng to nowdays you start a game parlor where investment is not that much and you know the gaming market is getting high & high, you can even call a gaming championship where people come from all the country and entry fee should be nominal low as $ 100 and wiing prize could be $1000 and make sure you get atleast 300-400 gamers
