I have already made money in the stock market, in particular in the Philippine Stock Market but I suggest before you delve in to the stock market, you take a seminar about it and read books about it. The first book I have read is Stock Investing for dummies. It is actually a very informative book and very nice for beginners. Another suggestion is to read about Warren Buffet's investing style because if you are a long term investor, his style is the best and the most tried and tested. For me though, the best suggestion I can give is to invest in companies that you believe will stand the test of time, companies whose products you know will still sell even if the stock maket crashed the next day. Hope this helps.

True. I am already on the verge of joining Citiseconline. I tried their online demo account but I am having a hard time understanding it. So I guess, I'll buy first those recommended books and read thoroughly the contents. That way it'll be easier for things to work out.

There are tons of really good books on this subject, if you are serious about this, I think you should invest in one of them before you start!
