Which destination would you choose?

If money wasn't an issue and you could only visit one destination which one would you choose? Why? For me, I think that it would be the Amalfi coast of Italy. I'd like to go there because I think that the coastline is one of the most dramatic that I've ever seen and I love the water so much that it seems like every vacation involves a beach. So where would you choose?

I didn't even think about outer space when I posted this discussion. Now, I have to add the moon to my bucket list.

I think I'd choose the patagonias in Argentina. I'd like to visit a different hemisphere and I'd like to learn my Spanish and tango.

I never had a desire to visit that area of the world until I got interested in the tango and met some people who became very good friends who are from Brazil. The pictures of their home country are beautiful

I think that I would choose to visit Machu Picchu in Peru. I have always wished to go there. It is a historical site in the mountains. It is possible to walk there along the Inca Trail or take a train. I have been to more than 50 different countries however I haven't yet visited South America.

50 countries? WOW! That's the kind of traveling that I would like to do. Machu Picchu is another one on my list of places to visit. I would definitely want to walk though in the same place that the Incas walked. I hope that you get to go one day.

I had the opportunity to travel to countries in different parts of the world. Each country is very much unique in different ways, of course, and there are many beautiful places. One country I still wish to visit and tour around visiting places is Japan. The places are so scenic, and there are beautiful historical and cultural places to see. I could be spending days and weeks enjoying the natural beauties of the country.

Thanks for your response. Japan does look like a beautiful country. The only concern that I would have about it is that it is so crowded in the large cities.

hi LaurenInLa it would just have to be Ireland the land where my three and four great grandfathers lived. . I want to see the place where my Clark line started and I have always wanted to see the Emerald Isle anyway but finding my start would be fantastic for me.I am a genealogy buff from way back. And I was really surprised to find my father's Clark started in Ireland not England as I thought. The pictures and travelogs I have seen of Ireland are so intriguing I just wwould like to see it for myself.

My heritage is Irish and Italian but I don't think that we still have family in Ireland. I hope that you get to visit it one day.

I've always wanted to go to Japan, because of its great cuisine, culture, and clothes. Second destination would be Nepal, I wanted to say hello to the Himalayas from that side. The culture is too diverse, including religion, I wanted to do away with Christianity. Third would be Germany or Russia, best mysteries in the world lies buried in the eyes of their people.

My husband served in Germany when he was in the army. He had the opportunity to travel all over Europe and he said that it is the one place that he really would like to visit again. I would be interested in seeing the architecture in Russia.
