Does a profile picture affect internet social networking???

Yes it does have an impact, more friend requests and messages. It's like selling a product, the more attractive it is the more people will buy it.

Maybe, for others. For me, I don't believe in profile pictures because one can always put anything in there. But, yeah, be wary of the creepies out there!

Well you can either be yourself or hide behind an avatar. I prefer real pictures - that's a sketch of me! The surprising thing is how inappropriate most user's avatars are! Your picture is beautiful - YOU are beautiful.

It's the same as real life. Attractive people are judged to be smarter, more talented, and more trustworthy than ugly people. Except if a girl is very attractive, she is judged to maybe be a bimbo or "loose" (mylot won't let me use the word I want but you know what I mean) Your best best is to use a flattering picture where your clothes are not too revealing and your pose is not too provacative. Obviously, I do not have any pictures of myself like that right now which is why I am currently hiding behind an avatar! (I will maybe have a pic soon)

for me.it doest imppact...if i dont know exactly him or her, i dont add or respond his or her request

I think that's one thing that will draw people to know us is to look attractive appearance of ourselves. By looking at our pictures are interesting, it will be many people who want to know us. And of course in the social networking site which was first seen by our profile picture that we put in our accounts are.
