how is "ranting about things which annoy me" a hobby that you enjoy?

I just responded to a person who has "ranting about things which annoy me" as a hobby they enjoy.
This does not make sense to me. Why would anyone enjoy sitting around ranting and complaining? And better yet, who wants to be around someone who enjoys sitting around ranting and complaining about things they are annoyed about?
I would rather focus on the happy, good things, and rant about how awesome and beautiful life and the things around it are!

I can understand a bit of venting by when they repeat themselves 5 days later over the same rant, oh my Gosh it is time to go!!!

HAHA yeah. Venting is one thing, but to ENJOY ranting about things you don't like? I don't know about all that!

I like your take but still... there are people who love to tell what and why of their dislikes. And that's not so disapproving. Also, like-minded people always enjoy each other's company.

maybe if someone was having a conversation and they both found something they didn't like. But why would you actually ENJOY putting your focus on something negative instead of something positive? The things you think about attract the things that come to you!
