Hi pnoyballer, I agree it would be much easier if we all spoke the same language, but these languages developed over millions of years in different cultures, and now no one wants to change. Part of the reason for all the wars down through the centuries were because we didn't understand each other because of the language barrier. In today's world many people are learning English but don't expect other countries to give up their own. Perhaps someday we will become advanced enough to accept one world language. Blessings.

True, it might make communication a little easier, but at the same time - it's about CULTURE. If you're going to ask why we don't have one universal language, you might as well ask why we don't have the same culture and cultural beliefs/practices/standards/etc? Why don't we? Well, we simply have different languages because it reflects our cultures. We wouldn't want to lose age-old cultures and traditions just because it makes worldly communications "easier". Culture is what makes us unique, helps us bond with our families and friends, and is part of our identity as people!

What you do is you teach everyone a new language = Maths. it's the same everywhere, so it would be like a little transfer for languages :P
