Being specific might help. The collection of information in the internet is so vast that you're bound to stumble into something.
When searching, use simple, everyday words in your search string.
If at first search you weren't able to find anything, try a different string of words. Rephrase your query.
If you still can't find what you want, use a different search engine. Search engines have different ways of ranking the search results. So maybe in one search engine the article you're looking for is in page 10 of the search results but in another it's in the first page.
remember BOOLEAN. Use boolean logic to find what you want. Boolean is "and", "or" and "not". When you use "and" you mean to say that the article/page should have both the information you specified (like "jobs and information technology" means that you want pages about jobs relating to information technology. If it's about any other job or about information technology only, you don't want that page). Using "or" means that the article/page could contain both or just one (like "sharks or whales", means that it's okay to have an article/page about sharks only, whales only, or an article that has both). Using "not" means that you don't want a specific information about something you're looking for (like iPad not buy would mean you want information about ipads but not information about buying it or pages that let's you but an iPad)
Hope these help you with searching :)
