I think teacher trainee still be called "teacher", you can't call them by others word. So, they are entitled to bring cell phone.

many students have mobile phone now.the tactics can't fobidden the situation

We understand how important cellphones are nowadays. I suggest teachers should allow students to bring cellphones in school, provided they don't use them once the class starts.

Student teachers nor teachers should be using cell phones while at school. It is a job and the cell phone has no place there, except to call parents of course! I used to call parents right there from the classroom! Kids can sure get quiet and start working!

Well I feel that one should be able to bring a cell phone to school, but only if it's off and only if your going to use it for an emergency like if you need your cellphone in order to call for a ride other than that I don't think that students should be able to do that because than they will be texting and not really paying attention to the teachers and in turns they will not learn anything that day and they will continue like that and that's when the grades come out that you notice that they are horrible grades and than the parent decides to take the cellphone away grades come around again and all good grades it's so weird how cellphones could have that effect, but yeah they slow down students so that they could be able to learn.Learning is always better for the future because everybody is smart as long as they study and just give it their best effort than they are really good students.

You have to ask your supervisor if you can or cannot bring your cellphone to school. I know that teacher trainees are considered "teachers" and they can bring their cellphones to school. (However, they have to be on silent mode during class time.) As for actual students bringing their cellphones to school... the school has to determine that. I don't care either way.

I think the trainee teacher should be allowed to bring their cell phone to school. Students are not allowed to bring their phones for good reasons. One really good reason is students can cheat so easily on a test. They text their friend and say what is the answer to question number....also, if they are busy texting or playing games how much work can they possibly get done and also they are not paying attention to the teacher as she is teaching!

When students bring a cell phone to school it can be a distraction for them and for other students. trachers don't like to have their classrooms disrupted by having to tell students to put away cell phones. There are always exceptions. If a student brings a cell phone to school to use for emergency purposes, i think it should be allowed. otherwise students should wait until after the school day to use their cell phones.

I experienced the same when I was at school. I don't actually know what was the reason. Maybe to prevent students from texting while studying. Some students just couldn't help texting and playing with their cell phones during studying time. Moreover, these days, we can access the internet through mobile phones. The headmaster should worry more. I think it just okay, if you bring your cell phones to school and still can focus on what your teacher is saying in front of the class.

I don't think that students should leave their cell phones at home. It's okay to bring them as long as it won't be used during classes and are kept on silent mode. Let's face it, they com in handy in emergency cases. In the case of the teacher trainee, the rules are the same.

I think students should be allowed to take their cell phones to school, mostly becuase it is a must have in the new texhnology riden era, you guys know what I mean right? its like the must have new thing, everyone has it, and who knows what emergency might occur and we might need it too.!

ya of course... when they don expect us to bring cell phones, even they should behave the same.. or better, they allow us to get our cell phones... after all how can a student live without a cell.. lolz..:D..

i agree if students are not permitted to bring cellphone inside the school we should also ask for teachers to NOT bring or use thier phone while inside the classroom.

ahahahha most of the school does that though, especially in primary and secondary. However when you get to college, cellphones would depend on to the teachers-student policy, if they both agree that students are allowed to use their phones then it is ok, but of course its in a silent mode. there are also some who believes that mobile phones are and should be prohibited when in school, most veteran teachers beleive that students could never concentrate their lessons when they are also texting.

Hi dear, Students CAN bring the mobiles phone to school. Now students CANNOT bring the mobile phones to school. This is the advantage of the facility how we are using and utilizing. Having a mobile phone with a student have many advantages. But when they provided with the facility, 99% of the students misused it and spoiled the intention of the same. Now, face the consequences. This is not only with the mobile phone and students. Whatever we do in our life is the same and mobile phones and students are the best example for it. If the students society got realized the real purpose, even now they can use the facility. They are supposed to go to schools to study. But they are provided with the most useful thing with them, what they really used it for?? So now they are digging their own grave. Suffer, what else we can say? Also, in case of trainee teachers – they also to be considered as teachers because they are assigned to a job of their profession and all students need to treat them as teachers. For the students, the main motive is to study and they should not evaluate the difference between teacher or trainee teacher. Still, students can bring the mobile phones to school and keep it a safer and secure place with totally blind. I mean to say, place them with silent and no one should know that a student is equipped with a mobile. When the student is in need of a mobile desperately, make use of it without any one noticed and no disturbance to others. At school hours students are not supposed to use the mobiles. Outside, if necessary, use the same on emergency, or they are in need of a help. Then it really works and the student is really benefited with the mobile. Also, if there is any text message, it may be stored and after school hours and out of the school, they can check it and come to know the message content and act accordingly. hi ema! i think students in school are not allowed to bring cell phone but college student they are allowed to do so.so even if the teacher is just the trainee one,and still a student, she/he still have the right to bring it to school.the teacher should say 'students can't bring cell phone to school but you can when you already in college!'

as a student ,must be absorbed in studying at school.as a matter of fact, there is no need in taking with mobil phone to the school,especially ,senior school student ,it will affect stuents deep.sometimes it will make students distract.in scientific aspect,it has great influence on young health in some way.

Teacher trainee is potentially a teacher, and actually a student so if teachers are allowed to bring cellphone to school, he or she also probably can go to school with his or her cellphone because the virtue of potentiality raises him or her to the position of a teacher. The actuality part of the discussion also probably prevent him or her from taking cellphone to school if students are not allowed,and allowed to use it if students are allowed simply because he is a student. But the statement did not say all student can or cannot so I may conclude that teacher trainee can go to school with cellphone based on potentiality.
