hi jeffreychan!
its so hard when you are short tempered person, everybody who surrounds you will be hurt when you cant control your emotions. what i am doing when im about to lose my temper is inhaling and telling myself if i will be get mad or lose my temper what would be the consequence of bursting out my feelings out of control. i also go to my room, and diverting my emotions to something positively. i also recommend you to go to a comfort room, its a quiet place where you can medidate and evaluate your feelings, emotion and character.
think first before you burst your emotion.

Hi,
I just want to add a little thing, because our friends above have already supplied you enough and good method to handle your temper.
The most important thing is you must understand that temper is influenced by impulse or sudden thoughts. So, please don't follow that impulse. Let your thoughts calm down and do what have been suggested above.
The best way also, is to pray to God to take care of your temper...

I also have a short temper.. But more specially when I don't have much sleep at night. I tend to easily get irritated. My bad I know. I try to avoid talking to people as much as possible. When I get angry I will keep myself quiet because I know I could easily get out of hand if I voice out my anger. So try to control more...

First, you have to assume responsibility by accepting responsibility for your action instead of blaming others. Second, anticipate the problem. Third, plan a better response. Fourth, consider the consiquences. Fifth, get help. Sixth, monitor your progress.
