I think that one of the most important things that we need to do when we are travelling with children is that we should make sure to have plenty of things for them to do while they are away from home. This means that I pack an activity bag for the kids. Another thing that I've learned is something that is very important in travelling with children is that we should also make sure that they have a comfort item from home with them.

Hi,
Since I have my son with me, I always travel with him tagging
along. And it is kinda a tiring trip ,but we do enjoy alot and
have lot of funs in our holiday.
I have brought him back to my hometown by flight , we also
went to singapore and kuala lumpur for overnight.
It was a new place for him and I was lucky that he behaved well.
With a child tagging along in travelling, I have more luggage to carry.
I have to bring extra clothes for him, some medicines for emergency, and
also some healhty snacks. Not to forget about some of his favourite toys
to tag along too, which will accompany him throughout the holiday trip.
However, it was fun to let my son explore other countries' culture and let
him see this beautiful world.

I traveled to Portugal with my disabled son when he was 4 months old. Then when he was 13 months old I took him on a trip to Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. When he was 20 months old and I was 18 weeks pregnant I took him to South Africa. We explored Cape Town and the Garden Route. Our last trip was with my baby daughter when she was 11 months old. We traveled to Canada and we had a wonderful time in Vancouver.
My disabled toddler son has to have catheter care. So on our trips I have to take enough catheters. I need to take the soy formula I give to my toddler son and baby daughter. I take a pop up travel cot for my baby daughter to sleep in. I let my disabled toddler son sleep in a bed. I always get travel insurance for overseas travels.

Yes, I pack an extra bag for them. As you told, medicine is more important. I used to pack their favourite foods also. i take their favourite toys and books also. Drinks are very important. A small pillow, sheet to cover when sleeping. i pack refreshing tissues also to fresh their face while travelling. I pack paper towell also.
