respect comes first before you call it love

For my own views, respect comes first as well as trust and feeling that are just part or aspects of what we called love. We could somehow say we trust or respect somebody at some point, we don't feel the love yet. But then, we couldn't say we love somebody without any respect for him/her. For i could say we should have gain or give our respect first before we truly say we are in love!

Hello,
I couldn't agree more. But love and respect doesn't always coexist. You can respect someone even if you don't love him. But it is impossible to love someone without respecting the person as he is. You may have respect for someone because you admire a certain feature he or she has. I wonder if a love without any respect is at all possible. Respect, like you said, always accompanies love. Thanks.

I think if you love someone truly then you also give respect to that person. I think in love respect is automatically comes. But I saw many times when there is no respect then loves automatically goes down. So respect plays a good role in love. But mostly person doesn’t agree with me on that because they say that respect and love both are different things. What is your opinion?

Everybody has it's different views on that. Love as well as respect can be defined in every way. But if i were asked then i could stick to the opinion of having and gaining respect to each other is really somehow different on what we called love.
Love for me consists of many things to consider as this was one of my topic "before we call it love, from both parties they should have possessed first the things such as respect, trust, and the intimate feelings the affection for each other.
But also, in different category of love, like love for the family it's somehow more unconditional than the love we feel for someone as a boyfriend or what. So in this matter, love couldn't be that more complicated to give the love for the family members because for me love comes first within the family.
