Yes, I believe that to be very true and I think it is a great saying too!

It is simply saying "you make the money work for you instead of you working for the money." You can read clear explanation of this in the 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad" books by Robert Kiyosaki wherein a comparison between his father, a teacher, who had worked all his life to earn money and still unable to live comfortably in his ripe old age and his rich mentor who didn't finish school but knew how employ his money through investing in real estate and businesses.
