Hey Mylotters,
So I have recently achieved my 100 posts and gained a reputation star. However when I got this I was level 6 reputation. Now I have dropped down to 5? How does my reputation get effected?
I don't think I have done anything wrong, I don't spam (I keep my messages to minimum of least 1 line), I'm not abusive to anyone or nothing that I would consider to be given a lower reputation star.
Can anyone help me out and explain how my reputation is getting lower?
Thanks for reading!

Hello Ross!
Here,in myLot everybody can rate your discussion or your answer. If you get a negative rate, your reputation is getting lower. This is happend to mee too,but I don't know why some people are so bad and rate as negative a discussion or an answer, without any reason!
I hope that my answer will help you!All the best!

Rossboyy this happens occasionally when some person with more
meanness than brains feels its fun to minus someone for no
reason at all. I wish mylot could see who does this so they'could just
ban them from mylot. it is not fair and its just plain meaness as
you have done nothing to deserve this at all.good luck you will see that somepeople will now try to help you to g et your star back. good luck God bless.

If you have a number 5 star its a better rating than a number six. The lower your star rating the better your reputation is what I have been told.

Who told you it's better to have a lower star rating? It sounds like someone is having a laugh at your expense.

Hi there. :)
Basically, the rating in your star shows how you are being rate by lotters. The more positive rates you get the higher the number in your star. The more negative rates will display otherwise.
Just keep on.I don't think that you are doing something wrong here. However, the rate is totally dependent on the moods of our fellows here. :) Don't worry it will soon pick up.:)
Have a great day, though, RossBoyy.:)

Yes don’t worry sometime it happen. So now you need to raise your rating level. I think mostly peoples rated your discussions and responses in negative. So now your rating is going down. This problem is also happen with me. Because my rating is also going down 9 to 8. And now I am trying to improve my rating. So doesn’t worry always be positive and your rating will improve soon.

Since reputation doesn't really affect your earning, you don't have to worry about it too much.
Keep good content going, and people will give you higher rating, and your reputation will go up.
The reputation is mostly for show, someone with a lower rating is not necessarily a bad poster.

hi Rossboyy,
don't let it get you down..your responses are goodo so nothing to worry..what is important here is we respect one another with our post and response and post positive response with good quality content..ratings are there to encourage us to do good in our responses and of course once we are encouraged to make more quality post, we earned more, wouldn't you agree?....but don't worry, that reputation does not generally reflect the entire you...have a good day and keep posting with a smile..=)

I finally just figured out what that star was today, so I just brushed up on the FAQs! Apparently, if you've posted in discussions that have recently been deleted, then that can bring down your reputation score. Since you haven't spammed or anything else, I would assume that this is the case?
Here's the link for more information:

Hope this helps!
