Should "making money" be the main goal in life?

Quality time with my love is very important to me, sweetie. I should say work the normal hours as at any workplace and the rest of the day and weekends are free to spend time together. Money is important, BUT not that important. TATA.

Making money is important to run the family but at the same time keeping our family happy and content also is equally important. So we must balance the time to fulfill both the needs

I believe we can have it as our main goal as the book that i read about is the people priority is in the line of money so that they can be able to get their dream and have time with my family. If you work hard while you are young, you can earn money, you can either save it on the bank or let it grow through business and investment so that when you reach the age of retirement, you can spend your life with your loved ones and you can take care of your life and your family more. I want money working for me and not working for money,so while I am young I work hard to achieve that goal and the rest is up to right planning.

I think that this depends on the person. Yes, money is important in order to survive, to eat, and such. But money is more important to some, and not as much to others. I think that it will vary from person to person. We won't all agree with the idea about making money as a main goal in life.

Hello, Vijay.:) I do agree that we should balance earning money with spending time with family. We need money in order to sustain our will to live. But, the need for money should be in moderation and with limitations not beyond what is necessary. Because beyond it, it is already a GREED. We should possess money and not the other way around.Men should not live by bread alone.:) Family on the other hand, is the living proof that we are humans capable of feeling. Breathing. Without our family the essence of our lives is nothing. The reasons for our existence is empty.What is life without you or him or her or they? What is life when there's no one to share it with? Isn't it a lonely world being alone?

I personally feel that making money becomes meaningful with the ultimate aim of using it for a higher purpose in life. And that is to strive in the quest for the betterment of oneself and the family as well as the community around and mankind at large. The hows of Making Money should also include a balance between the individual, the home and the work in terms of physical, emotional and psychological well being.

well of course you need a great balance. You need to be able to make the money that will give you the freedom to be with your family. the kind of money that works for it's self. that's what i am doing with my website! and i love it

People who love money have no life. Every minute of the day he thinks about money and how to be rich. He works hard everyday to make more money leaving no time for socializing and family. He has forgotten that life is too short and when he die one day he will be buried next to a poor man.

Whilst making money is very important to feed, clothe and house my family, it is not the most important thing in my life. As I get older, I realize that if I was to choose what the most important thing is, it would have to be my good health and vitality because without it life can be pretty miserable, regardless of how much money one would have. Then there is family for whilst we are on this earth, it is fulfilling to have people around who care for us and give us some good companionship, but non of the things that I mention can we take away from this world. You know my friend, it doesn't mean that when we are looking for money online mean no family time. Money is only a sort of important thing for us to live and making money online is a goal that suit depending on what our interest are. The good thing in making money online is that we are near committed to our family and not going anywhere else to find a jobs and not seeing our family in eight hours beyond. There are more time for us to bond with our family and this is depend on us to balance it. But if you are responsible enough with your family, you can make things better in your family... Family and health are the most important things in life. My main goal is to have a happy family and to enjoy what is out there. You don't need money to do everything in life and your main goal should be happiness, health and balance

We couldn't deny the fact that MAKING MONEY is one of the essentially major goals in our LIFE. Yes, it is for that aspect! However, to live life to the fullest is to be BALANCED in every aspect - physical, financial, career and work, family and social life, health and wellness, friendships and relationships, leisure and our intimate relationship with the Divine Creator. For me, it doesn't really matter how much money you have in the bank, how much money you may have owned, how many places you've been to, how many prominent people you know, what honors and recognitions you may have achieved, for LIFE IS SIMPLY WHAT WE MAKE IT! And, this is what really matters in the end. LIFE means to Love, Inspire, Forgive, and Endure! Life is to - Believe, Care, Dream, Give, Laugh, Listen, Share and Touch Lives. This simply means that despite sorrow we still dare to LOVE, despite failures we INSPIRE, despite pain we FORGIVE, and despite hardships we ENDURE. I agree that you should balance your time. I think that you should just make enough money for your family to live comfortably and then use the rest of your time for them. Obviously family is more important than money, at least they are for me. I do enjoy making money online and off but I enjoy the company of my family more.

No. Time, health, peace and happiness should come before making money. Money is very important and we need to make it in order to survive in the world today, but often people are so driven by their need to make it that they miss out one very important thing...They forget to live! Time is very important and so much more important than money. If you lose money, you can always get more. Time, once it has gone will never return. You can never go back and relive your children growing up, you can never get back those family birthdays that you missed out on because you were away working and you can never get back those missed opportunities. If you spend the time doing enjoyable things with family and friends instead of working your life away, then you will have less stress, better health, more happiness and you will be at peace.

not absolutely. money is only a part of our life. time is more important than money i mean to say at appropriate times we should spend with our family members. we should not ignore family members. and if you still feel that u have time you can see the ways for earning money. so we should be balanced for a happy living

Well there are three types of people in the world :- 1 Who believe in spending quality time with their family and are happy with decent money which satisfies their little wants. 2 Who just cant live without money, they want to accumulate it more and more, they just cannot control their greed for it, These people are usually shrewd in nature and people from all classes who's aim is to make money by hook or crook come in this category. 3 who have no attachment to money whatsoever, they are saints :D. All will have different opinion to the above discussion according to their class :D. most of us belong to the first class. Yess Making money is very important in todays world as money can buy most of the things :), but not at the cost of near and dear one's. Because they are the first priority in our lives, secondly if you have no family or near/dear ones, whats the use of making so much money, which you have no-one to share with or enjoy life ? yess you can buy anything, but will you be happy living all alone with all money around you ? The answer is simply "No". Hence I agree that there should be a balance between family life and money making, you should have the quality time to spend with your family, money only helps in buying intangible and tangible assets :D, but it can't buy relations/love/mother/wife/husband/emotions/friends. Hence family, near and dear ones should be our first priority in life because for everything else "there is a Master card" :D
