In life we experience success and failure many times. When we succeed we get excited and celebrate success but when we fail we get disappointed and depression. Is it correct?.According to me it is not...because I heard an old saying.."Failures are stepping stones to success"Then why worry?.Success in first attempt is also not correct at times. Only by failure we get experience which is not available to the first time winners. We cannot celebrate our failures which would look odd.Accept failure in grace and then only you grow.If you stop with first failure how do you reach your goal?. I therefore feel that failures should not drag us back or prevent our progress. How do you take your failures...?

Success and failures are two side of a coin and they will appear in our life, and not everytime it would be a success. I take it as part of life and take some lessons not to repeat mistakes. That is the way we can improve on mistakes and failures.

you are correct. one should take both success and failure in a sportive way .Then only one can enjoy life otherwise you are a failure in life always.Failure give experience and strengthens us to proceed further. If we succeed in first attempt itself where is the question getting experience

well,it is really hard for me to admit the fact ,but when i think it over ,i would accept.since i can't change the result and it is no use crying over spilt milk,i might as well learn something from it .then,i would find out the mistakes and try my best to prevent such mistakes from happening again. what's more, i would not get over myself again.i learn to be modest .

very good indeed. What cannot be cured must be endured. When you face failure you cannot change it to success. Why worry?. Try next time in some other way....you will taste success.

Accepting failure is hard, Furthermore, some people take it seriously and turned their failure into disappointments and lead to depression. However they don't know that failure serve as a learning experience. Failure will come no matter how safe you are in achieving your goals. Moreover, every failure we encounter becomes a stepping stone towards success.

What you said is correct.Once you realize that failures are only stepping stones to success you will not be depressed or disappointed and take failures in the right spirit....

you are right, failures are stepping stones to success. However, there is an annotation to that chayapathys.. failures can only be stepping stones to success if we learn from our failures, from our mistakes. But if we are always failing, over and over again, committing the same failures without learning from it, success would be far from us.
instant success without failures are not much sweeter than having had to deal with failure first, learn from it and then charged on towards success.
i agree with you that failures must not hinder us, it must propel us forward, towards growth and success.it must motivate us to do better next time, so that we may succeed.

Do you think that a person will always fail through out life..Will he or she never taste success at any time?.I have yet to come across such a case.I will be glad to know any such instance. If that is the case he or she should choose some other line or try the same from a different angle.World is wide....
AS you have rightly agreed the first time winning is also not correct in many cases and at all times.Success after a failure is sweeter than first time success....

I want to respond this to this with a quote: "Effort only releases its reward after a person refuses to quit" - Napoleon Hill, author of the best-seller "Think and Grow Rich" Focus on the reward, keep your eye on the prize, enjoy the ride :-)

What Napoleon Hill is correct. That is one should go doing his efforts til he reaches the goal. That is to say take your failures as stepping stones to success and never get dis appointed or dis heartened. That is the essence of this discussion.Thank you...

When we do something "bad" we spend the rest of the day thinking about it, but like some intelligent person said, we are humans, and we commit tons of bad things in our life and if you think about it, you forgot that memories and now you're thinking about it AGAIN, forget it.

Doing bad and thinking about it throughout the day is different. Here we are concerned as to how one takes his failures...

Yes expense count some times but not always. The question of expense arises only when you have to spend money for getting success in anything. But many times you need spend money to succeed. Only experience can tell you that....At the same time we cannot succeed by spending money only and our effort also count many times.

Hi chayapathys,in my opinion,to face all the failures in grace is not such an easy thing.Especially when one works hard for a long time and makes great efforts but you gets nothing significative. Then he may think that life is too unfair.Faiures usually tend to discourage us and they often come one after another just like waves.
But it's the obstacle that we must come over on the way to success.I think that's the reason why just the minority can accomplish their goal but most of us fail in the end.I do prefer to face failures optimistically.

Excellent.Failures should not discourage you.. on the other hand they should encourage you.We tend to feel bad and that feeling should not remain long...After all we are human beings.Except human beings no other creation of God like animals and birds know what failure is.Then why we men should distinguish? As you rightly said at the end that you take failure optimistically. That should be....

I agree with you, failure is not a reason to stop and desperate. To me, failure is a lesson to make me a better person. Its a moment for us to see our weakness and badness and erase it from our self. A success person is not a person who never make a failure or mistakes, but those who can make his failure and mistakes as a moment to make him a better person, and grow even bigger. And sometimes, from those failure, from the hardest moments of our life, we found the best part of our self, which no one else has.

you are able to see good in failures also. That is correct. Failures are not always bad.At times it is good in the sense it makes your alert and more careful in your future attempts. then why worry about failures..?

Failures are really hard to accept or manage. Especially when you failed something you really want or something very important to you. As of me, I manage my failures by accepting it wholeheartedly and move on. If given a chance, to do it again then I will give my best to finally succeed on what I had failed previously. Also, I will rather work hard and prove to myself that I can handle anything despite my failure on certain things. I will never dwell so much on making my life miserable because I failed. But rather I will give my self to regain myself again and hope for this time that I will become successful. And of course getting ready to fail again and stand up again. Failure is not a bad thing because it can mold you into a different kind of person. It will make you stronger and braver to take things.

As you have correctly said failure moulds a person to be more prepared for the next chance if and when it comes again. Why view the failure as bad..You should be prepared to face any situation .Then only you will grow in life {I mean not in age}.Why worry about past failures and spoil future life. By worrying you cannot succeed and, perhaps, by forgetting failure only you will succeed next time....

At first I will feel sad, then I will just pray and leave the rest to GOD. I know deep within me that there's a reason to everything and after the failure there's a success. It will be my motivation to pursue my goal.

Exactly... Who will not be sad at failure but as you right said God knows why we fail and perhaps he wants to learn a lesson or encourage you to do better next time. There cannot be failures always success is bound to come...

I do take my failure positively. Although it is difficult , i know that it can teach me new things and experience. My view is nothing we do in our life is a waste. It has its own contribution in our life.
I did like to say about Edison. He discovered tungstun filament after thousand failure attempt with other elements. When asked about his falure he said I discovered 1000 elements which cannot be used for making bulb. That should be our attitude too...

you have right attitude. Who can give experience except you failure.Experience is gold and success is onetime phenomenon. You have correct quoted Edison. But for such people we could not be what we are today.God bless you.....

you have rightly understood the spirit of discussion.Attempting and making trials are in our hands and leave result to God or destiny on which we have no control Why bother about thing which are not in our control. you do what you can and perhaps failures are also for our good only....

As they say, failure makes you successful in life. When I fail I really get disappointed and depressed. I would rather stay alone and silent in my room. But then I will always say to my self everytime I fail. Maybe this is not for me maybe
God has many reasons why HE did not grant my wish.By then, I came to realized that
I have to stand again and accept the failure and began to move on.

yes. you have to take failures in the right spirit. You should not think that it is not for you according God wish. Unless you are not interested in that particular field or thing why should you give up;You try and try and at one time you will succeed. The joy you get after series of defeats is much more enjoyable that success in the first attempt.Think it over...

There is no such thing as a failure. There are just weird life experiences. People let life get them down too much. They expect everything to be perfect all the time.
Reality check...Life is a clunker car on a bumpy road...enjoy the ride as much as possible...open you mouth and go uuuuuhhh and laugh.

Failures are not easy to take. I always find it hard to deal with it automatically. Though i was able to control myself from doing things that i would regret later but it really hurts. It makes me moody and friends find it hard to take to me since i preferred to be alone than to be with people. But i never linger long with it. I would just leave the place where it happens. but not for long. A day or two away from those incident wil make me feel better.

It is hard to accept failures I agree and we cannot celebrate failure as it would not be possible and would look odd. What I suggest is that you stop not stop with failures if it is a noble cause. One day we will surely succeed.I mean you should never get disappointed and disheartened otherwise we cannot proceed further. You may adopt some way to get over situation temporarily by way of diversion.I suggest that do not stop with one or two failures and it gives you experience and help you to succeed next time....

I try my best not to take failure in a negative way. It can bring us further into depression and leave us feeling like we can not succeed. i try to take a failure and turn it around into something more positive. there is already failure. there is nowhere else to go but up from there. Success is only within our reach. All we have to do is go after it.

It is natural you get depressed at your failure and also to begin to doubt about your potential and capacity. As you have rightly taken your first failure in true spirit you are now enjoying your subsequent success.Very good.

I take failure as my weapon. They say that I am weird for looking for my failures more than the achievement, but I find it more effective for me, for I learn to mush myself harder, to the limit.. and I do not put an end to my development. I do not like boosting up my ego, I love it more when I had to crash down my ego,put them into pieces and make them more stable.

People do not learn much if they are first time winners.Only when one faces failure then he can understand what the world is all about. I am not against first time winners. Most of them are excited of their achievement and become very proud with the result they prove to be failures in later life. Not in all cases please. No offence is meant for first time winners.
