Do you take part in any direct sales companies, like Mary Kay? I currently sell Lia Sophia Jewelry (link is on my profile). I really love it because it allows me to make money while having the freedom to go to school full-time. I'd love to hear your experiences.

Have tried thousands of times to make direct sales, but it was always utter disappointment. Therefore I decided that sales was not the cup of tea for me. I now focus on other ways of earning money. It is important that you have alternate source of income so that you can actually do things that you are interested in. My experience has been better with online money making and somehow I have been able to put some cash in my purse month after month.

What ways do you make money online? I am a full time student so I do not have time for a job, so I am trying to make money the best way possible. I'd love to hear what you do.

@glitterwings If any of you are open to making money without inventory, billing, collections, holding parties, etc, but can bring in residual money month after month... call me I'd like to show you what I do. I'd like to help real people earn real income. 425-329-9553 or nhia@homemail.com.

I sold Avon for about 2 years. It was about 10 years ago and I sold it to most my coworkers at that time. I really didn't make much at all. Any extra money was spent on the brochures. I have also sold Tupperware and Pampered Chef, however I got into that mostly to buy Christmas presents and really didn't make much money in that either. I am not good at doing parties so I mostly sold word of mouth. I think with today's economy people just don't spend much money on unnecessary items. You can buy tupperware at walmart these day (or comparable knockoffs). I wish you a lot of success in your business venture.

Thanks :-) I mostly sell to my friends and family, and a few of their friends. I make a decent side income from their orders.

yeah, it is hard to do direct sales if you have another job. It's possible, but it's easier when your schedule is more open.

I used to sell Mary Kay but I didnt end up selling for very long. My mom has sold avon and I think that company is better to sell for in my opinion that is. I am not involved in direct sales anymore except for my articles (which you already know Im a member at associatedcontent, thanks for being a fan of my articles :) ) Have a great day!

I am associated with Amway but not started to sale. I am purchasing a lot and the membership discount is a pseudo income for me. I know that many of my unlink are earning a good amount. After a short study I think that the product in direct selling is almost costly.

I have not tried the direct sales opportunities, but my wife is a Senior Consultant for Thirty One Gifts. They specialize in pocketbooks, totes, and other organizing products. It's a great company and my wife has done really well. She has been with them for just over a year and she is well on her way to being promoted to Director in a few months. She enjoys doing it too because she is able to stay at home with our son while still working.
