Whooo hoo! Someone should stand up to these bullies. His child had cerebral palsy. I was a bit concerned about one of the comments that professed to not understand the term "bullying" he says kids will always get "teased" and thats just all part of being a "kid". He put words in quotes. This is the attitude that will perpetuate it and not give it the attention it deserves. Anyone who says this has likely been a bully or is one now and has never been on the receiving end of teasing and bullying... What do you guys think? I can understand him doing what he did personaally - IF he already went to the teachers. principal and the school board.

I love it when people stand up to bullies, but I agree that his attitude could've been better. Still, if he's already gone to the school about it, it was probably the right thing to do. It might sound mean, but kid bullies need to be scared into remembering that not everybody is a pushover and real life is a lot meaner.

I agree, if he tried all routes - like going to the school he was fully in the right. Personally I would see if I could hire a lawyer if my child were being bulied - and the school didn't do anything about it, but that can be expensive. The sayings like, "oh kids will be kids" or "boys will be boys" just incense me.

Yes.....as a last resort....otherwise you are being a bully yourself....I saw something about it on the news last night but stepped out of the room when it actually aired.

Yes, I think if you have gone to the teacher, then the principal then the school board and no one is doing anything about it. If you had done all these things and your child with cerebral palsy - or not - just a person being bullied - what would you do - bullying can scar one for life - and make normal social activities - work etc difficult.

That is sad that a child with cerebral palsy was being bullied on the school bus. I can only imagine how that poor child felt having to deal with that. I feel for her father as well knowing how much it probably hurt him to see what his little girl was going through. I havent heard anything about this until now so I dont know enough about the story to really say much about it. I just feel bad for the child who was being bullied. There is a little girl in my daughers grade who has problems and my daughter likes to play with her. I would be very upset with my daughter if she was bullying her instead of befriending her. The parents of those bullies should be embarrassed of their children.

Bullies need to be shown their place. Someone has to take a stand against them. If this doesn't happen, a bully will not stop. If you see someone that is being bullied, an effort should be made to stop it. It doesn't matter if you are a child or an adult. It is not right to allow bullying to go on.

So true, but sadly the law is going to stand against such people - as with this father. I do think one should try more conventional avenues first- teacher, principal then school board and if that doesn't work, try a legal angle.

Good evening dear artemis432 , ohh my God , this is by far not a childs thing , having such an agressive temperament , and still people taking it as a child "play" or act , its really astoneshing , what cann i say , violence its everywhere , maybe at that bully's kids home , for certain at television , in theire cartoons already its all a cartoon based on lying , been lazy and the most of it VIOLENCE , this must be stopped , before it makes other victims , having a cerebral palsy its no child play , its nothing related to a child , even if its caused by another children , i used to have bullys at school too , but i've never been agressed by them , since i was feared in school , because of my older brother , and i have never heard or seen one of the bullys at my school , doing such a bad injury to someone , usually they just try to scarre the small childs to take them the lunch monney ( and this is already too bad , since this would be more of a thieve school). Well i am really sorry about that fathers childs and mother , they must really be in pain and they must really want to get to have a talk with the other bullys parents , since they have to take some sort of action , these stupid thingz have to cease. I would like to wish you a great evening dear friend , and also i wish tha t the parents of that child to find a solution and peace for them , and i pray that God will take care of theire Child , to give him Health and make him strong. I know, what if he goes to the parents of the child and they are bullies? I wonder if he did try all routes at the school first? Maybe he can hire a lawyer. Florin you are so right.

The father was right. Bullying is a serious issue. It shouldn't be apart of being a kid. Bullying can have psychologically damaging effects that can stay with a person for years. Taking all of this into account, how could the father be wrong?

I so agree. The law found him wrong though I believe.
