How do you feel towards people of another religion besides yours? Do you just hate them or do you fear for them? Do you fear them or feel pity towards them? Threatened? What about atheists and agnostics? Do you feel you need to "save" them or to never to deal with them? Or any other feelings? And why?

Hi Lore, I was born and raised a Christian and in the beginning thought that we had the whole truth and that others needed to be shown that. I did not fear them and certainly didn't hate them as that would be unchristian. Later I came to see that I was wrong and that people can and should believe as they wish without interference from others. I think that the world would be a better place without organized religion. The golden rule is found in all the major religions of the world and that is enough religion for anyone. Blessings.

I don't feel threatened and I don't feel the need to "save" them either. I respect that other people believe differently than I do and I celebrate the difference. The important thing to me is that they believe and that they live their lives in a religious and decent way.

Then they wouldn't be "people of other religions" now would they?

I do not hate them if they belong to some other religion. On the contrary I try to learn good things from them. I tell them about my own religion, that is only if they ask. I do not try to impose upon them my own belief. I try to present a good example in front of them.

I don't bother other people's religion. I believe all people in the world are children of only onegod. so i consider all as friends. But realy I find it difficult to have friendship with people those who are saying :There is no God'
In our country there are four religion. so always festivals all over the year. when our friends from other religion give us sweets for their festivals i feel happy.

Most people would consider me an atheist, although I was raised Catholic and know more about religion than many religious people. Although I have known otherwise intelligent people who are religious/believe in god, I do think less of them than I do intelligent agnostic/atheists. I have many friends who are religious, and it is not like I pester them about their beliefs or treat them any differently than my other friends. But I do know that they do lack the ability, or desire, to educate themselves on the matter and can blindly accept something despite all proof and logic telling them otherwise. So this is why I tend to think less of them.

I'd say I am a non-theist if anything. I don't have any ill-will towards anyone based on religion alone, so long as I feel they respect me, I see no trouble respecting them.

I was raised in the Christian faith and have never considered someones religion when I was dealing with them. Over the years I have met many different people of many different religions and I respect them and their beliefs. I have had many very good discussions with these people and we share and grow closer as a result. Through sharing and understanding I may convert some people but that is not my goal. I want to understand them and increase my understand of their beliefs.

I enjoy meeting and getting to know anyone different than me. Early I was taught that questioning a persons beliefs was very rude, when you question them you devalue them. Each of us is walking a road thru life and each is different, none is better or worse they are just different. You may say what about those who are ill or starving, again for each I cannot answer. I do believe that what you do brings it's rewards or penalities and that this is a natural law. This is karma. I believe in reincarnation so to judge one person in the here and now is impossible, best to just accept them, help if you can, that may be your road but above all be kind.

Love is an Eternal Law. We have only one law complementing each other. Loving God with an undivided heart and loving our neighbor as ourselves.
