Orkut or Facebook ? What do you prefer and why ?

Hey friends. I would like to know your opinions on orkut and facebook. What makes you stick to either of them. Which amongst them are best according to you and what are the reasons for that ? Well I would anytime prefer orktut because of its easy interface and simple use. It is the best site when it comes to chatting and scrapping, participating in community discussions starting communities and doing all chatting related stuff. I think its incomparable with any of the social networking sites out there. Facebook on the other hand has its own advantages for me like playing games and trying its wonderful applications, also the security rocks there, but it sucks when it comes to chatting. Every damn person can check your wall without having to go to your profile unlike orkut. and it has a bit of a complex operation system and interface. whats your take on this ???

ill be a little biased, because I dont know Orkut. But facebook for me works well on me. It is user friendly, and it easily helps you find your lost friends. Well, i dont actually care if people see my profile or not, I am good with that, it still prohibits strangers from commenting and posting on my wall, so its not much of an issue for me.:)

Well dude.. both have their own value. Orkut was the idea for bringing lovers / friends / family memebrs to bring together. It was a place where the owner wanted everyone to meet and interact and share what so ever thy wanted to... Now facebook is a advance version, stolen the idea from orkut and with the idea to earn money. modified the idea and launched a facebook with better technology for sure.. we were happy when facebook was not there bt yes just like the fashion trend, social trend also changed and we came on facebook because we got fw features which were missing in orkut :)

Hello moneyspinner welcome to mylot I have a facebook account and orkut too with so many friends I don't visit there regularly, in facebook i don't play play games etc, when some body adds me as friend, or when writes on my wall or there is some private message i go and do the needful otherwise i have no time for that.. Facebook is much fun my friend. im not too active on orkut though but i guess facebook is the best social networking site out there.
