last time, my officemates and i were talking about people who wants to go back to school even if they are already working now. haha
it is a bit funny what she commented that why would she want to earnn another degree just to be over qualified in her work now - it will just give them more advantage to tag her as another master of business "slave".
but oh well, seriously.. when i graduated from college - even when my other colleagues have thought of masterals, etc... i have not - even a slightest idea have thought of going to school and take up masterals, or certifications. for me, trainings would be fine, related to my work(directly) but not a separate school or another degree - i feel i can no longer take that! haha
how about you?

Yes,i agree with you.
Why spend another long years when you can upgrade your education by trainings.
I am against people who has the opportunity to study again and maybe, becoz they are financially stable.
Learning is growing,we should not stopped to learn new things, but,we can learn things and acquire knowledge not only from school, but in our every day life and from the people around us.
Some people find themselves very well educated, but, sometimes,we learn the value of wisdom from ordinary people who doesn't even earned any degree in education.
Have a great weekend ahead

I am 21 and I still havent tried working on my own because I am studying medicine now. If I am in that position, and I am working, I think I would still go for that option to study again if you want to upgrade your educational degree. The preference differs because of the person's goal in life. If you think you are having fun at your work, you are growing as a person there, then I guess there is no need for you to go back to school again.:) besides, we are aging, and companies go for the younger, competitive ones.

That is one of the things I think I will do. I have already saved a leaflet from a reputable University which offers Open University programs although the choices for degrees where quite limited. I am working full time but I am still an undergraduate although I have finished a 2 year technical college course it is still considered as such since it was not a 4 yr course. Lack of finances for continuing education and being the sole bread winner is my hindrance at the moment but I think positively that I will be given the chance for a College degree. Have heard of grandparents who where not given a chance to study during their young days and now is back into school again. I believe that life is a continous learning process.

i would like to study while doing work. to spend another 3-4 years to study for more is not a good idea for me.

hey chiyosan, very nice discussion.
Well, i am presently a college student, and miss my school life very much. It was fun in the school, no tensions, no assignments, no presentations. I really miss my all school friends, who are far away from me now. All are busy with their own life. I don't want this busy life, i want to be a kid once again. I really miss waking up late, getting ready for school, running to the bus stop, playing funny paper games and much more. I had a great time in my school and i will never ever forget those days.
