Do we wrap our kids up in cotton wool too much?

My son heard on the radio as school near us has banned children from running in the playground. Is this just getting beyond a joke now? They aren't allowed to be children as far as I can see. It is bad enough protecting them outside of school, now there are limits as to what they can do when they should be playing. Is the world going crazy?

YES! I do believe that the world is going crazy! Children are supposed to run around and play with their friends, and get scrapes and bruises. It's all in the process of growing up! It almost seems like children are getting pushed to mature too early these days, grow out of "childlike habbits" like running on the playground and jumping out of trees, and become quiet small obedient adults. Personally, I blame the lawyers, but that's just me, lol
