In Joshua 1:8 it says "Do not let this Book of the law depart from your mouth: meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Did the word of God influenced your life by reading it? How? You can share it here. :)

I read the Bible daily, about 4-5 pages, so that I can read it completely each year. It has been a practice of mine for some years now. I also like Psalm 1:1-3 that show the benefits of daily reading. I'm a lot closer to God and get daily strength to keep doing his will and staying faithful to him. What benefits have you enjoyed?

I enjoy the benefit of changing lives. Everyday I read the word of God, it change my life. Even it is rebuke I need to accept it cause I know it's not a part of my life. Even I want that thing but God doesn't want it, I just follow it. Word of God changes my life it's the great benefit I enjoy. :))

That's great Ruthhazel! Psalm 19:7-11 (New International Version) 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

I remember attempting to read the bible when I was 8 years old. I wanted to see what the big deal was with it. I got to the second page before putting it down. It was too much for my young mind. My dad told me he read the bible from start to finish. He said it took him about a year.

Even you read it already. Read it again it will give you another revelation not the same as you read it first. I will finish the bible second time this year. I actually read it first time last year.

I read it almost every day. Sometimes I read several chapters and other times, one verse will catch my attention and I just meditate on that. The Bible is a steadying influence on my life. Although my relationship with Jesus is foremost, there are times when my emotions and physical condition make it difficult to connect directly with Him and at those times, the Bible helps keep me grounded and in His will.

By reading the Scripture your faith in God will establish. By continuing reading a Scripture or a bible your relationship with God is leveling up.

Hi, ruthhazel Yes, I read the Bible or listen to recordings of it and it has a very positive influence on my life. It is like letters from a loving Father and sometimes I feel as if he were talking directly to me.. We always find some new thought there that helps in the situation we are in at the moment.. Psalm 119:105 (New Living Translation) Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. I have a goal to read or listen to the whole Bible until December 31st this year. Then I start again from January 1st There are some of us who are doing this too. Welcome to join us and tell us about what you have found!!

Same as you I read and have a devotion before I go to work so that when I go out I am ready for the situations I will experience.

Daily, for the most part, unless I get caught up in work. I make it a point to read at least a chapter a day. It influences my life constantly. Situations come up that I can't help but reflect to passages I've already read.

That's why we need first to read a word of God or a bible in morning before we go out in our house because the word of God is sometimes the solution in our situations in that day. We can say that the bible is great influence in our life when we apply it in our lives. :))
