For me, it would probably have to be time heals all wounds.
I know a lot of different cultures have different sayings, and I would love to hear the certain sayings from your country or culture.

If a person disintegrates the habit of procrastination he doesn't have to read quotations. As time saved accumulate, it serve as opportunity to heal all wounds.

i must admit i have to read this 4 times for me to get it. i think it's a slow morning for me.hehe anyway, the first line about procrastinating is a bit vague to me. i guess both statements have something to do with TIME. from how i understood it, i guess it said NOT procrastinating saves time (and it's true. another is, time heals all wounds.
i'm not sure. was just giving it a thought. i also want to learn some new advices from others :)

"Set a goal and figure out how to get there."
Sounds simple enough but sometimes it's not that easy. Following this advice has helped me to accomplish many things throughout my life and I still follow it.

The best advice I was ever given was not given to me directly, but was delivered from the interesting movie "Foxfire", starring Angelina Jolie.
The movie is narrated by a character in the movie, Maddy, who says...
"You tell yourself to just put up with the bullsh!t and to count the days.... It's all passing scenery."
When I get into most crummy situations, I think about that particular quote and it helps me survive another day.

I dig the way you set it up and answered so descriptively. I think moments like that from movies are helpful because they always stick with us so easily. Like, when you first hear it, it just makes sense and makes an impact on you.

don't speak much when you're upset because you might regret saying it; don't make a promise when you're very happy because you might to be able to fulfill it.
words delivered when we are in extreme emotions can be really unreliable so ever since i got this advice, i've always remembered it and applied it to myself and to whoever i spoke with who is either so upset or so happy while speaking with me.

oh yeah, speaking when you are upset is an easy way to make a fool out of yourself! Sometimes it is just better to walk away, rather than run your mouth and say something that you will regret later.

lol, I like this peice of advice. Remembering that we are not the only ones with problems, and remembering to smile, well, I think that has a lot of applicability.

I wish that more people would "let go and let God" because I think a lot of the root of people's problems is that they dont speak to go or take any guidance that way...then they wander so far off track.

Well I might have got tons of advices till now, I don't remember anything in particular at this moment. One of the practical advice I got and experienced in life is "Experience is the Best teacher"
But I dint understand, what has advice got to do with different cultures and countries ?
Sayings or advices apply everywhere universally is what I think. I never heard that So and So advice originated in so and so country :D.
Neways Have a great time mylotting :)

Well, certain areas have specific advice. There are certain sayings that are only said in certain parts of the world.
Of course, the sayings and advice apply everywhere. But, if I said a bird in the palm is worth two in the bush, some people wouldnt understand what that means because it is a cultural saying. Not everyone has heard that their whole life, depending on where they live.
