Why aren't there more websites out there like Reviewstream?

Last year, I submitted thousands of reviews to Reviewstream and I made quite a lot of money. That was 2009, and Reviewstream is a website that's been around since 2005, I believe. Obviously, the website is profitable to operate, otherwise the webmasters would not continue to offer cash upfront for reviews. Now, my question is, why aren't there more websites out there like Reviewsteam? The business model is obviously profitable, and yet, I can't find another website like Reviewstream. There was Comparedby.us, a website I made over $600.00 off of in six months, but they are no longer around. There are so many PTC websites, and yet, only one website like Reviewstream? I don't understand why this is the case. If I had the money and the HTML skills, I would start up a website using a similar business model in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, I don't, so I just continue to look for websites like Reviewstream that will pay me upfront for my reviews, but my luck has been non-existent. I don't want something that requires a blog. I don't want something that pays me through Google Adsense. Does anyone know of any websites out there that are almost exactly like Reviewstream?
Before anyone states Reviewstream is a scam because of what he or she may have read online, it's not. I made a couple thousand dollars writing for them over the course of twelve months. If you want to as well, just ask me, and I'll explain how.

I think there are whole lot of good sites and even better ones than Review stream. To name a few, shared reviews where you get $2 per approved review, expotv (you can do video reviews here and their pay rate per review is really high), carrot reviews is another good one but they limit the number of reviews you can do. Just look around and you will find few more good ones. There are even few which have a lower payout than review stream. I am very happy that you are making good money with review stream. Try the review sites I mentioned above, you may like it better than review stream.

Obviously you have no clue about what are you talking about.
Sharedreviews doesn't pay $2 per review. There model is to share the total site revenue and they rarely pay something at all.

There was a good review site like Reviewstream called Ciao.com. Unfortunately, they have closed early last year due to high level of abuse and spam.
The site has changed to Ciao.co.uk so it is open only to people from UK. But if you have a UK bank account you can probably try this one out.

That unfortunately doesn't work for me, as I don't live in the UK. It's a shame that abuse and spam resulted in the closing of Ciao. Too bad the webmasters didn't simply put into place stricter guidelines and a better editorial review board rather than terminate the review payment incentive. There's always going to be people looking to abuse and cheat a system that pays, but in most cases, it's easy to counter a majority of the abuse and cheating with simple measures.

Hi Genesis, I've read your post here and got interested on how you were able to get thousand dollars from Reviewstream, could you enlighten me a bit about your strategies. I'm much interested to start writing reviews for Reviewstream as well.
Unfortunately I can't help you in providing solutions to your problem here cause I have a limited knowledge on websites that pay people for the reviews of certain products that they submit.

I am about to start with reviewstreams but they said it takes upto 72 hours for my first review to be approved. Like above, I am also looking for alternative that will have a better and faster approval process.

I've been on Review Stream for awhile and I'm happy that I'm getting paid by them for my reviews. It's a great way for me to get money for the DVDs that I want to buy, another good site is Helium, buy they pay based on traffic but their payout is much lower $25.00, and their minimum word count is higher, 400 words, but it's a good site too, because you'll always get money from your articles.

I have the same sentiments as yours. I need more sites like Reviewstream. I also made a lot of money in this site and proofs are here http://evergreenlily.blogspot.com/2010/09/earn-money-reviewing-products.html
Now I want more sites like Reviewstreams as well but can't find any. I hope someone could lead us to another site which is a good as Reviewstream.
