A beauty-ful perspective

I always get annoyed when my husband says out loud his admiration to this tv actress "Wow, she's really beautiful". Then he looks at me amusingly and say "But you're still the most beautiful woman to me. Yeah right!
I know, it has been said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and what is important is innate beauty. People are different and so is our own perspective of what is beautiful. One would be beautiful to you but not to me.
In my country, were majority are brown-skinned, women are so obsessed getting white skin. They use the latest whitening soap or glutathione pill. On the other side of the world, some Caucasian women would want to get a tan. They spend stay long hours at the beach just to get a good tan or just have a spray tan. My cousin whose in UK, say that women with lots of freckles and red hair are regarded as very attractive to them. So what is regarded as beautiful in your country? Or on a personal level, what features do you take note of for you to say that a person is beautiful? Can you share?

Well, I am certainly guilty of hitting up the tanning salon and the beach to get that perfect summer glow. However, I find pale much more attractive than tan, so go figure. I don't really know what I think physically makes a person beautiful because it's so different. I think, and this is SO CLICHE I KNOW, but it's true, that it's their heart. Their soul. Who they are on the inside that just shines out. Tall, short, fat, skinny, blonde, brunette, ginger- WHATEVER. There are so many good qualities in a person that if you focus on those qualities, the person will become attractive to you.

Megan fox is beautiful. She's a very good example of beautiful. Even her rear end is beautiful.

I agree. Have you seen the movie Jennifer's Body where she starred in? It didn't make good reviews but if you were one of the guy's in the movie, I bet you would be a willing victim.

We're from the same country, so mestizas are being regarded as beautiful. Those half american half filipino, half spanish half filipino but there are pure filipinas , though browned skins that are beautiful as well. More especially if you got to know them and see their innate beauties.

I notice that inter-racial marriages usually produce beautiful off-springs. It's like getting the best features in each race and putting them all in one child. The parents don't necessarily have to be attractive. In fact, I was shopping once and then I saw a woman who I thought was the nanny of a Caucasian child, until the child called her mom. I took a second glance at the woman, and then I just thought wow you're so lucky to have such a beautiful child.

Tell your husband you get annoyed every time he makes a comment like that and then looks at you. Your annoyance might accumulate and it won't be good for the both of you.

Just wondering, who is the TV actress??
Well here in the Philippines generally speaking, Meztisos are beautiful, on a personal level I usually like the opposite. I like the tall, dark and handsome men. My idea of handsome is kinda complex and sometimes weird i cant even explain it. lol

If you're from the Philippines then I'm sure you know who Maricar Reyes is. Actually I really find her beautiful. She looks sweet and very feminine, until that shocking scandal. Well, I admire her though for the way she handled that scandal. It's not easy to keep your head high when everybody was talking about you. Well sometimes in our lives we make stupid mistakes. But what is important is rising and learning from that mistake.

i`am the man for this question, am not I? for the beautiful woman is my wife, you might say why? i`l give you the answer she has a clean look skin not white, not brown and slightly yellow ( maybe gold color? can you imagine ? ), then she has a very bright teeth, long hair, sexy lips, skinny body but sexy ( Really this is a joke ), and finally the most attractive to me, the way she say something o00hoooo just a magic in the dark....

I'd like to start out by saying that you're lucky, your husband tells you you're beautiful. As far as beauty goes for me personally I think it's confidence in one's self. That's what makes them beautiful, the way you carry yourself is soo important. Anyway that's my view.

The only thing that matters is that the girl to be fit, I mean not overweight and not to skinny and to be clean. Even though a woman has nothing extra, can be attractive. This comes from inner side, it is an attitude which makes us go mad. I don't know why is that, but I feel that, like you said it, what is beautiful for me, it may be ugly to others. I always said that I prefer white skinned, blond girls, but I can say that there many other girls/women can be beautiful and attractive. So I think it doesn't really matter, the skin or hair color, nor the color of the eyes.

In my country,the whiter,the more beautiful.it is only the appearance.However,someone's appearance will be the first impression.If you want someone admire you,inner beauty is more important than your appearance.

well said that this beautiful term differs to persons to persons according to perspective and it may go good for any person or maynot for any.....it is not what people see in their eyes ..this is what we feel about any person in detail..

Fair skin, long hair, a small figure, and big eyes is regarded as the general standard of beauty in my country (United States).
